“when she calls” is such a powerful song. i can’t even listen to that joint sometimes cause it brings me down so much. not many songs have such an effect on me but fashawn brought that shit to life and i’m not surprised it’s based on a true story.
“when she calls” is up there with royal flush’s “family problems” as far as emotional joints that really fuck with you.
idk if he should go over classic’s tho cuz nobody can sound better than nas on illmatic its too legit thats like someone remaking reasonable doubt imo cuz its going to remind me of the original and gonna have to listen to the classic version just like when luda had ice cube’s chorus (Everybody Hates Chris) it just wanted me to listen to The Nigga Ya Love To Hate
I can see Fash being able to pull off Illmatic, I think its a good look for hip hop because it would get some of these younger cats to take interest in classic hip hop, Fashawn imo, has the chance to change the face of hip hop for the better
