SXSW: We Put the “A” in Austin

As many of you know, SXSW is taking over the hip hop world in just a few weeks. The dopehouse will be involved with a few shows over the course of the 4-5 days. On Friday, March 19th… it’s an Atlanta takeover. 2 stages with performances from Donnis, Hollyweerd, Pill, Sean Falyon, Senor Kaos, Spree Wilson, Vonnegutt, STS, Stat Quo, Yelawolf and more. Details are listed on the flyer above (which can be clicked for a slightly larger version). Most important aspect… OPEN BAR (provided by Belvedere) haha. Hope to see you there!

  11. Fuck. YES.

  12. hey I got a question for SXSW attendees, I’m going this year. I heard you don’t have to buy a full pass and can go check out certain shows by paying at the door. is that true?

  13. Word.

  14. ^Yeah. Hip Hop shows vary from Free to round $20. Most aren’t that much though. I’ve never seen that many people in the Hip Hop crowd with wristbands.

  15. Would love to see this show. I hope I can make it. There’s so much good music this week. I will have to budget my time wisely. Senor Kaos and Vonnegut are who I would like to catch.

In response to the SXSW wrist bands, the more popular the show, the less likely you are to get in, but even wrist bands are not guaranteed either. Get to the door about an hour early. I think for a show like this you would be pretty safe. The Wu-Tang show a couple years back…NO CHANCE. Lined up around the block.

  16. Stat Quo killed it, Bobby Creekwater was there too. Damn what a dope day of music. But seriously, Stat killed it when he came out. Statlanta bitches
