Inspired by the world, Hov speaks with MTV about his next album. Stating he hasn’t really started yet but has some scraps, a couple ideas, etc.
“I got one crazy record,” he added. “To be honest with you, it’s crazy. I got one and we’ll build from there. Whether it comes out this year or next year, it depends on the music and how it’s coming out. I don’t really have any dates.”

I’m pretty eager to see what direction Jay takes. I wonder if he’ll start to make more “World” music, with more genre crossovers and stuff. A Jay-Z and U2 record would be pretty dope.

nah he’ll go in the club/electronica type direction IMO…thats what the mainstream wants and thats where Jay’s always been drawn to.. he’s not starting trends anymore he’s just following/popularizing them

There’s been plenty of people including jay to make distant relative/strong will continue type records….but i bet you wouldn’t think nas is a biter…but anywho….hip hop mixing with any genre music to me has always been dope, so that would be a plus……. but yeah he doesn’t start trends anymore, he’s just immersing himself in different types of music/sounds now

he’s definitely gonna bite everyone else in the R&B/Hip hop mainstream and go with the electronic sound…..and then he’ll claim that he started that shit and is the best at it.
uhhh said this on February 22nd, 2010 at 5:08 pm
Jay z won’t go electronic. Not after D.O.A.
