I wish that this had stayed animated like the Nickelodeon cartoon, honestly. And seeing how James Cameron swacked the original title for his bank-breaking blockbuster, M. Night Shyamalan had to drop that part of the name for his own joint. We’ll see what happens when this comes out July 2nd.

Its pretty messed up the way the picked white people to play the parts of the waterbending girl and her brother.
the animated series is one of the best cartoons ever made. the way everything ties together from the 1st episode to the last is damn near groundbreaking for a cartoon. i can’t wait for the movie and i’ll be there on the first day with my younger sisters and my nephew. i just hope that uncle aroh is true to form with his wit and that the movie doesn’t lose too much of its playfulness.

but this is an american cartoon. It gets it’s influences from anime but that in itself is pretty groundbreaking.
anyway the only issue I have is the casting… but it’s like ALL the casting

This looks like it’s going to be insanely true to the cartoon series. The bending looks so natural, doesn’t look CG at all. I think this could be M. Knight’s best film. I was initially worried but after this trailer my faith is growing.

Yeah, the casting is the biggest issue to me. Didn’t expect to see a bunch of white kids running around. No racial.
The visuals are the only reason I’d see this film. And where’s the humor, there was a ton of it in the show but it’s missing here. Maybe they’ll show it in another trailer.
But my main issue is the casting. Those white kids don’t cut it.

Avatar used to be good but then it just got retarded and drove too far away from the overall plot. Plus M. Night Shymalan’s only good movie was 6th Sense, but those skits on Robot Chicken about him going “What a twist!” make me pretty aware of what this movie’s gonna consist of
