How was the last class very good? Ace Hood, who is he again? Cory Gunz, what exactly has he done besides that alternate version of a milli? Asher and Wale’s albums flopped, and really weren’t anything special. Blu and Mickey basically disappeared for a year after they got the cover. Charles Hamilton had a train wreck of a year. B.o.B got caught up in label limbo, but his album should be good. Spitta kept doing his thing, and Cudi had a huge year. So last year they were like 2.5/10, nice picks.
I gotta agree with Jesus, most of those guys didn’t do much last year at all…although i would say almost all of them are dope as hell, even Ace Hood is pretty solid in my eyes (his first album was niice)…this class should be sick though, Pill is nice, and Im assuming dudes like XV, Fashawn, Big Sean, Skyzoo, J. Cole, etc. will be up there, so I could definately see this class being better

I totally agree with Jesus, on this shit… I think that list is a fucking Hex… Look at the class of 2008, aside from Lupe, Zoe and Plies brandishing mainstream success everyone else ended up getting drop from their labels and had to resort to remaining underground (i.e. Saigon, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Papoose)… As jesus said, none of the 2009 class commercially did jack shit except for Cudi, and B.O.B. actually making moves now… Don’t get me wrong I like all the 09 freshman, escpecially Mickey and Spitta, but being on this list might do more harm than good for sum of these cats… So far tho, I’m digging these 4, and think XV is one of the most underrated up and comer’s in the game!

Wale had a great album but like Really said they pushed shitty units. The Industry didnt take the freshman list seriously. I have Asher Roths album when it came out they didnt even advertise it, They didnt even put it in the new release aisle. They had a shit load in the back though. They said the first week they sold out but htey only had a small amount anyway. The week I came they didnt even have out. So that tells you alot about how shit is. I still dont have Wale’s, but Im want it.
