I give this an E for effort and and earnest, but some of this stuff? Kinda dramatic cunt-esque. I’m just saying. iCant with Wyclef, T-Pain and Akon. Especially ‘Clef.
You have got to be kidding me, even the singers aren’t even all that some things are better left alone. The Gospel tribute to Haiti was a lot better than this ish.
damn i just think you guys are trying to find things that are wrong with this one. it was straight to me besides the auto-tune. but let’s be real, if you guys didn’t like this, you wouldn’t like anybody’s new version of it.
why do people act like this song in some way is a detriment to their life? its a charity song. like all y’all are bumpin the original in your car on the daily and hold it that sacred …
yea i disagree this was actually dope for the most part. the autotune was kinda outta place since everyone else is singin natural, but it doesnt necessarily ruin the song. besides this is the 2010 version, and its a reflection of what modern music is today. the hip hop part was kinda whack but the kanye/will.i.am part was cool. some of em look insincerely overdramatic and Wyclef milkin this thing a little too much… but other than that this wasnt bad as you guys make it out to be.
i really was a fan of the last song…idk if its my cynical nature or the rap parts, clef, or waynes singing but that shit had me laughing the whole time. that shit was crazy wack to me…idk..maybe its just me
@MOOSE…maybe that what it is…this song shows how bad modern music is as a whole..the autotune..the wack rap..the overall phoniness in the message..the original felt from the heart, this felt like a cash in. but again, just me.
What the fuck was nipsey hussle doing there, let alone all these other rappers. I thought the rapping was really not necessary and Lil Wayne and T-Pain’s parts seemed like a desperate plea for young people to listen and donate.
I will commend the people have actual singing ability though, god knows the song needed every one of them.
haha its not bad for what it was and had sum huge names in it but the whole “new flavor” was so unnecessary…is there anything wrong with just having them sing like ppl have been doing for millions of years them without adding an autotune and rapping part? come on now.. and i cant lie when i saw Justin Bieber at the start i just started laughing.. but i guess he belongs in this too…
yea i pretty much agree with what MOOSE said, this was overall not that bad besides those random moments with the hip-hop part, but i felt like that kanye/will.i.am part cleaned that up so for the most part it was cool. as long as its for a good cause then it shouldnt even matter how it sounds
nipsey standin in the background not even mouthin the words or anythin was pretty funny though
Yeah…the Justin Beiber-starting-the-song-thing was “wtf” worthy, but the people who actually had SINGING parts, they did kinda well actually. Wyclef definitely benefitted from being Haitian, but he went OVERLY over the top. But as for the rappin in unison part, it was real random…it sounded like a project ass hood church chior lol; Kanye and Will.i.am saved it tho. But it wasn’t as bad as some of yall are makin it. Pretty damn good singing wise
So would everyone appreciate it more if all of those people were not in it. Man we live in sad times if you can’t appreciate a good cause. These are the most popular artist in the industry trying to raise more awareness and show that they care and this is a terrible tragedy that occurred in Haiti. Stop criticizing every little aspect. People are always judging people and thats what’s wrong with the world today, thats why we are in this place cause everything is a competition. But sometimes we have to sit back and realize some things are done for the cause, not for the listeners to bitch about way they sung the song. It’s the cause….. PLEASE DONATE TO HAITI…… and just to think 2dopeboyz was like a socially conscious hip-hop website….. naw it aint any different than any other website with hatin ass people…. listen to michel’s message.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s for a good cause and all (even though the same people asking people to donate for Haiti aren’t doing shit for the people struggling in America), but SMH @ all these damn artists people who are unable to come up with a fresh, original track of their own.

Wyclef is NOT Bob Marley. Fail.
The rap section? Great inclusion, but… Fail.
Pink, JHud, Pussycat Doll, Celine… all sounded great. I was open to this one blowing the old one away, but I”m sorry… too much fuckery.
yeah i’m starting to get what you guys are saying now. fuck this wack shit man! all music sucks ass and the mainstream is shit! everything about this song is garbage and why would quincy even think of this dumb shit again? wow they should all kill themselves. I finally get it.
I agree with Meka. I cant take this shit seriously. Its kinda ridiculus. like ‘OK, another tragedy, lets get together do this song and itll be all good’ fuk tht. YO! u wanna make a difference?? y dont u do a REAL album and donate all the profits to Haiti, not this we are the world shit. I cracked up wen i saw Wayne in it. AND WYCLEF IS ANNOYING IN THIS
No disrespect to anyone suffering in Haiti, God bless them, but… this is crazy wack!! This is a mockery of real relief efforts, and what makes it worse, hip hop is dissed HARD in this jawn…Auto-tune?? really?? SMH
Wyclef is corny.
All the hip hop artists involved with this trash only want that hollywood attention… This is ignorance beyond words.

AUTOTUNE is ruining hiphop, its ruining music all together…Nippsy throwin gang signs to a song about peace and togetherness. What the fuck is that. I can’t believe this bullshit. I want to smash something everytime someone uses AUTOTUNE. Its not cool and everyone makes fun of that shit.

Clef went a bit OD on this. The T-Pain thing was wack… But everything else seemed pretty good. It’s not as bad as some of you are making it out to be. It is actually quite decent. I think it was heartfelt but a bit too OD on the emotional side of things. Some of the singers really did a good job tho… Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, Mary Mary, Mary J., Pink, Toni Braxton and Celine Dion def get honorable mention. The rappers, Kanye did his thing fo sho and Wayne wasnt as bad as i xpected. The LL/mash up verse = ass. They should have gotten Jay, after all wasn’t he even supposed to be on this? And whats up w/ Nipsey Hussle throwing up gang signs on a tribute song?! – FAIL
Also am tryna figure out how come Nicole had the most face time on this thing? This aint the Pussycat Dolls nigga.
90% of you all couldnt even name 10 of the singers on the original version that you’re pretending they’ve disgraced.
and wyclef has sung like that on every single one of his reggae infused joints of his entire career. so if you’re surprised by that, there’s a whole other issue goin on.
but fuck that. let’s get everyone in the c-section to join in on a charity song shittin on every other charity song out there. y’all wouldn’t like this no matter how it came out.
Good intentions, but wtf was that? Who were most of those people? Michael Jackson was still the best part of that song. Why didn’t they come up with an original song instead of doing a shitty rehash? Imjussayin
yall on that bull!! including meka.. this song is not supposed to equivalent to a new jay electronica track… song is legit, reason behind the song is legit
THAT WAS DUMBBBBBBBBB…They totally ruined a classical song.We may not know every one or can name 10 people from the original version, but we know what sounds good!! and this DOESN’T!..Guess it just goes to prove the musical genius that Michael Jackson was.
shoulda just been J Hud, Celine, Mary J., Pink, Adam Levine, that old white man, Usher, Jaime Foxx, and kanye part. HOW THE HECK ANTHONY HAMILTON DIDNT GET A SOLO?? that is retarded to me. things to laugh at: when wayne popped up(hahaha), T-Pain ( -_- really?), the first person u see is beiber (LOLOLOL), nipsey hussle jus chillin (lmao), and most of all all the comments (rofl)
Lmao @ Chieflo Lmao…
That Was A Weak Ass Kids Bop Flow Ahaha…
But Seriously I Don’t Know What To Think About The We Are The World Remake…I Feel As If People Were There Just To Say…Hey Look “I’m Here” And Get Some Publicity…Get The Fuck Outta Here…The Rapping Parts Were Pathetic And The That LL Verse Had To Be The Worse,He Should Of Put It In Reverse And Start From Last To 1st…Some People May Have Ruined They’re Careers Over This Song Lmao…But All In All..They Doing It For A Cause And That’s Always An A+ For Effort…
But You Know What…I’m Glad Em Or Jay Wasn’t On This…It Would Be A Blow To Their Status Ahahaha…I Wouldn’t Be Proud To Say…Hey My Boy Slim Was On That Remake And Then My Friends Look At Me & Be Like…That Nigga Wack For Being In That Shit Lol…But Seriously…J Hud,Mary J,Pink,Adam & The Old Dude Seemed Like They Were The Only One’s Who Put They’re Heart Into It…Everyone Else…In It For Exposure….Jus Sayin…Ye’s Part Was Cool…
THIS SHIT IS CORNY I AM ALL FOR HAITI SUPPORT AND AM TRULY SADDEN BY WHAT HAPPENED . BUT THIS IS SOME FUCKERY DISNEY CHANNEL SHIT. AND WTF IS NIPSEY HUSSLE DOING IN THE THERE, you have a room full of platinum selling artist and then you see that nigga in the cut. haha I guess it’s for a good cause it’s just funny how it takes something like that to happen to really get some of these fuckers to contribute to society. Sure some of them have foundations but I bet that’s all for tax write offs.
these mother fuckers write a song, fuck out of here with that shit, go out there and do something. go grab the victims from the rubble. Aside from Wyclef everybody esle is a fucking lame go get your hands dirty and work . Thinking a song is gonna make a difference .
This song as briliant yeah some part were funny but it’s what this song is about and for and especaily what it is supporting. The way these artists came together to for a common bond and support Hati in there battle to rebuild their society.
I must be the only person in the world that actually enjoyed this remake. One person I was very surprised to see in the choir was American Idol judge Randy Jackson. I had no idea he sang.
nor can I

@idontgetit,
100% co-sign !! Kats are corny nowadays. I’m glad they kept MJ’s part.

I thought it was pretty dope. I don’t think T-pain should have been in it. Wyclef didn’t seem bad, thats his style. Josh Groban is pretty badass.

I must be the only person in the world that actually enjoyed this remake. One person I was very surprised to see in the choir was American Idol judge Randy Jackson. I had no idea he sang.
