Lupe has had some lose ends in some of his music. Lyric wise he’s always on point for what the song is. Creative in any aspect he attempts. Lupe > Em as a lyricist AND artist. I respect Em and his music for who he was when he came in. But that’s just it. When he came in, it took the world by storm and he instantly blew off the charts in sales. Same with Fif with his 10+ million on Get Rich blah blah blah. But that doesnt mean he was the supreme at all. And much like Em, CUDI came in and offset the world with his SIMPLICITY but down right fucking accurate puppeteering of our conscience. So to compare Lupe and CuDi is just moronic.. all because he took a similar approach towards a song? Artists are supposed to grow within their music. You don’t stay in the same mind frame day in and day out. They grow. New chapters. New stories. New pursuits. Like comparing an artists first to their most recent is dumb.
