I certainly wasn’t hating on the site, or the bloggers. I enjoy 2DopeBoyz and check it regularly. I think the majority of the commenters’ frustration has to do with the snide tone of the blurb.
If Mek’s issue was solely the quality of Van’s music, and his music wasn’t up to par, then it probably wouldn’t have been posted at all, correct? So if he thought it was good enough, why the likening of Vandalyzm to a panhandler and beggar for attempting to get his music heard via avenues that seemingly offer themselves for just that cause?

In all fairness, Van’s mixtape wasn’t my favorite mixtape ever of evers but it had some seriously bangin tracks and was FAR from delete bin status and it’s definitely in my personal rotation. Its not everyday that you come across artists who are able to express themselves in a manner that is not only creative, but entertaining and exciting.
