Lupe Fiasco Talks Enemy Of the State (Video)

Lupe sits down with MTV to talk about how their Hottest MCs list was what inspired him to go forward with Enemy of the State. He also said that the project was done in two days.

Kept it short. I felt, if you’re nice, you don’t need an hour. You don’t need one hour and 35 minutes. You don’t need 100 freestyles every week. You need a nice demonstration of what you’re capable of doing very effectively, and you step back. Leave you wanting more. Sometimes the best part of the movie is the trailer.

Amen to the statement above. And I’ve got to say, it feels great to see MTV using the artwork I created to replace the original. Niiiice.

but if BET or some other example of why the human race sucks uses your pic without your permission you should try to sue them for a few mill haha

  17. He’ll think about it alright. He was mad stupid for saying he ain’t doing Friend of the People cause “too much” music was out. He knows that’s bullshit. Oh, and congrats Shake.

  18. Too bad the tape was ass or I would have agreed.

  19. ^ man that tape was a beast. you not listening if think that shit

  20. I’m listening and for Lupe it’s ass. It doesn’t hold weight to any of his leaked material, his prior mixtape material, or his album material. It was rather pointless.

  21. Man dude what r u talking about? practically every rhyme was a metaphor…as always it was killer

  22. and about Friend of the People i was extremely disapointed when he didnt release it cause i cant get enough Lupe but i still listen 2 his Fahrenheit 1/15 mixtapes, Food & Liqour and The Cool everyday. His music never gets old so it really doesnt matter.
