As far as hip-hop goes the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia) is still unmarked territory. Sure, there’s success in the frontrunner (Wale), not to mention a bright future for others (Tabi Bonney, Phil Adé), but there are many more voices from hip-hop’s unheard region. One of them is EQuinox Professionals/Inner Loop Records artist Lyriciss.
The Practice is Lyriciss’s fourth official mixtape, the follow-up to last year’s The Day Job. While the latter had strength in concepts and experimentation in flow, the focal point of The Practice lies within the lyrics.
Former XM Radio show host and DMV-area native DJ Furious Styles handles the mixing and guest contributions include Fashawn, K-Beta, Kingpen Slim, Muggsy Malone, RAtheMC, Theo Martins.

I just wanted to say that this dude really fucked up with that name. Shit falls right in line with (Mad) Skillz, Punchline, Wordsworth, and any other pseudo backpacker/nerd ass moniker-having rapper who never made it’s story. That being said, I have no intention of checking this shit out. If you think that’s hating, let’s pretend this guy’s name was Gaylord Vaginaz, and ask yourself if you’d still give him the time of day. A name isn’t everything, but it’s an indication of what kind of bullshit may ensue.
how you gonna clown on the nigga name, and you signed your comment George Clooney?
stfu & download..
DMV keeps steppin it up
The mixtape is actually very well put together and Lyriciss Flows showcased an effortless flow throughout the tape…

@George Clooney
That’s like saying i shouldn’t read your comment because your name is fuckin george clooney. clown
My name happens to be George Clooney, but I’m not a rapper. So I don’t really see the connection. I love that you all actually got angry about that shit though.
the connection is that just because someone has a gay name (to you) doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen to them.
“a name isn’t everything…. but i’m gonna base my whole moronic post on how i don’t like a rappers name…. isn’t that cool?!”
wow. some people just define lame. George Clooney does it perfectly.
