  1. Nasty Nas in ya Area!!!!!!!

  2. March Is looking fucking fantastic. Donwill, Distant Relatives, Gorillaz ( On My birthday no less). Hip hop is alive and well.

  3. I can dig it

  4. CRACK

  5. Chills. I just got mad chills listening to this!

  6. So damn dope. It’s a good track to let loose now with the Haiti struggle.

  7. This is nice. I applaud Nas for trying to inject a little activism into the industry. When you look at the efforts of big-name rock artists, and compare them to the efforts made by rappers, it’s embarrassing.

  8. props on the CDQ version…album pushed back to April 20 though.

  9. Hot shit..

I’m not into the whole jamaican thing but Damian sounds awesome on this song.

  10. Nas>>>

  11. I agree with Nas too, this works because Damian has more rap elements in his music then any other Marley. It sounds like hes rapping moreso then singing raggae style.

  12. “album pushed back to April 20 though.”

    wack.. got a source?

  13. Yeah and Damian was killing it on the As We Enter snippet.

  14. [...] greatness at the most unconventional time… Shout outs to 2BZ for making my [...]

  15. march 16th i heard them say. they said it on the special they had with the history channel about Africa. I have not heard anything different

  16. Nas= GOAT…Glad he brought Mr. Marley along for the ride…

  17. Yeah, I heard March 16th too

  18. This shit is crack… these 2 shocked me i was a little worried at first…

  19. I needed this in my life…..i cant wait……..real music at its best

  20. “album pushed back to April 20 though.”

    wack.. got a source?

    http://hookedonthat.blogspot.com/2010/01/urban-new-release-schedule-115.html

^^^not sure how reliable that source is but it is pretty believable seeing that there has been no official singles/videos et

  21. I wasn’t feeling at first, then the beat kicked in

  22. wowwwwwww chills amazing song….

  23. wow this is niceeeeeeeeee

  24. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE

  25. so so dope

  26. To be honest who gives a shit when this comes out, The quality is important!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nas and a Marley relative!? instant Classic. check out Melatonin Magik by Canibus coming out Feb.9 album is fire LA California already approved this album. Dont sleep

  27. Damian Marley had the best album of the decade with Welcome to Jamrock. No arguments. If anyone heard Road to Zion, then they know how these two get. Classic.

  28. Finally! The best of both worlds!

  29. @Ryuk

I wouldn’t go as far to say best album of the decade, but yeah Welcome to Jamrock was extremely good.

  30. @ Jesus

Not really interested what you would say. If you say otherwise I question your taste in music.

  31. Nas + Damian Marley = Legendary Work

  32. Dammmn i havent stopped listening to this track…..Goosebumps for real…….

  33. beat is nice, nas is nice but I hate all of that regga/ragga whatever shit, no exception here…..

  34. dope song Damian Killed It

  35. What’s the right title of this song? You say “Strong Will Continue”, vibe.com got a tracklist where the song is called “Only the Strong”?! (http://www.vibe.com/posts/uncovered-nas-damian-marley-%E2%80%93-distant-relatives)

  36. I think it’s Only The Strong…in any case, it’s fire!

  37. this shit is great music ppl… there’s more out there than just rap… open up ur minds…

  38. FUCK EVERYTHING. THIS IS WHAT WE ALL BE TALKING ABOUT, HIP HOP!!!!

i need this album like yesterday

  39. at first I was a little iffy with the sound/melody (mostly because welcome to jamrock was such a raw and an underrated album,) but the more I listened…I really dig the effort behind the boards to maintaining the song’s message/realness while still making it sound relevant to the current state/sound of mainstream music. (when I use mainstream, I don’t mean it in a derogatory way)

easily accessible (and dope) verse(s) from both Damian and Nas. great melody, positive message…just an overall refined song.

If this song truly is the first single, I hope it does and is received well. it sure has the potential to. mainstream radio can use this type of realness.

  40. Just like everyone else I think the track is really dope! I hope the album doesn’t get pushed back too many times, but as long the album drops I’m happy

  41. instant classic

  42. Jay Electronica, Distant Relatives > Life

  43. Meh….shit is aight, Nas didnt really say shit to powerful but its a cool song

  44. Damien did a great job tho….by the way Nas not the greatest, stop that shit!

  45. wick wick wack

  46. Dope

  47. fire, i’m as pumped for this album as any i can remember in recent history.

  48. Nas FTW

  49. This is GREAT!!! Music the WORLD would listen too, not just your fuckin neighborhood! I have a dream hip hop will be respected as a music genre by everybody, and this is how it should sound if we want it to be.

That electric guitar has such a great appeal… love it!!!

Damian is like everybody says, the best reggae artist to make a hip hop collabo with, he has it in his delivery (almost rapping).

    Nas is Nas.

  50. This song is so appropriate right now. to all my Haitian people, we will survive. I salute Nas & Damian for this one.

  51. [...] via 2dopeboys [...]

  52. nas = goat…

  53. [...] Spotted @ 2dopeboyz [...]

  54. Nas > Hip Hop…..best Damian Marley song of all time is Khaki Suit…brother got flow for days on that track

  55. Nas >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> jay-z

  56. This song has a tremendous amount of commercial appeal while still being concious at the same time. What a great balance.

  57. [...] via 2DB [...]

  58. Only thing is the length of the song unless they shorten it for the radio

  59. I was really skeptical about this album when I first heard about it in 08. Now I cannot wait till this album comes out knowing its gonna be another Detox, and El Che…..never coming out.

  60. SHIIIIT this song is DOPE as FUCK!

  61. I love Nas…I really do…but he is so damn boring. He has some of the poorest production in history.

  62. @Ryuk

You’re really gonna question my taste in music, because out of the hundreds of great albums that came out this past decade I don’t think Welcome To Jamrock was the best? That makes sense….
Anyway, Jamrock was a great album, and this album should be too.

  63. @mike..I think he chooses production like that because he wants the focus to be more on the LYRICS than the beat..he gets his point across better that way and the majority of his songs have meaning or a message to them unlike most rap music these days

  64. @ mike: I swear some of you people are like robots you can only complain about beats because you have nothing else to say!! This song is dope and the production is good!

  65. NaS is the BEST!!!!

  66. The production is amazing…they recorded the whole album with a live band (which is pretty much unheard of in Hip-Hop with the exception of maybe the Roots), and they also perform with a live band…I love the way they are taking two (or more) genres and fusing them so seamlessly

  67. co-sign @webstar…this is pretty damn dope!

  68. @ Jesus

Just how I feel. WTJ Is THAT good. So yes. yes I will. But I digress. This is going to be awe inspiring.

  69. [...] aici [...]

  70. Nas and Damian did this song at rock the bells. If this song and the other songs are signs of things to come then were in a treat. People are bitching about how the album
keeps getting pushed back but the wait will be worth it.

  71. Album of The year

  72. ill song, could use one more verse from nas

  73. Got chills by the end of the song…

  74. dope

  75. Very good song. (Nothing Great)

^^^I wouldn’t say this is album of the year since the album hasn’t came out yet. lol

  76. now we need the full version of as we enter

  77. [...] So far yes. Yes. (2dopeboyz) [...]

  78. Very good. If the rest of the album is on the same vibe, it’s going to make Jay-Z extremely embarrassed to have released Blueprint 3. Think about it… Nas is on some real talk, inspirational, authentic hip hop and Jay-Z is on some bubblegum, let’s make money shit.

  79. Nas & Damian>>>>>> Jay & Bono, Hudson, Linkin Park etc

    Just Saying.

  80. DOPEEEeee

  81. The only good part of this song is Nas’s verse

  82. chills, nas is great. cant wait to hear him on act 2

  83. Just wanted to point out that that’s not the official artwork (those are old Nas and Damian pics)
    Sick song

  84. I am ready for some new Damian Marley of any kind and these joints with Nas are coming out nicely. Good post. Peace and GOD BLESS

  85. I think the official artwork is on the background of Nas’ twitter page twitter.com/nas…and it looks pretty impressive

  86. I’m kind of tired of the dick riding. Now I love Nas’ work as much as the next man but C’MON yall this joint is so so at BEST!NaS and Damian Marley??.. A whole album??!!!! Maybe 1 or 2 joints but a whole LP?This is like when some of that new Rakim music was posted. That shit was HORRIBLE. It was like watching MJ play for the Wizards! But YOU’D see all the “WOW, INCREDiBLE,& DOPE!!” posts.I still hold my MC heroes near and dear to my heart but… good music is good music.

  87. ^^^^^^^ This guy

The only good part of this song is Nas’s verse
    ^^^^^^^ and this dude

Can you believe there are actually people on the same planet as you that feel this way? Crazy, I know.

  88. Reality1989, usually I would agree with you, but surprisingly, I’m liking what I’m hearing off this album a lot more than that Untitled album, so i can’t agree with you in this case.

  89. ON REPEAT!! . LET’s GOOOOOOOOO!

  90. Its been reported that this actually isn’t the mastered version & is missing a Nas verse…the first single is actually “As We Enter”

you can hear it here: http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.10496/title.damain-nas-release-the-1st-single-off-distant-relatives

  91. Great greatness, Nas isn’t bullshitting and Damian is on point too? I can’t wait for this to drop, no matter how long it takes. At least we can be sure that this is gonna hit before Act II or Detox…

  92. Had it on repeat for an hour when i first heard it… this album will probably be one of my favorite of all time.. One of the top 5 best rappers OAT and top 3 reggae artists of today and the only 2 on either list that would mesh perfectly….FUCKING GOLDEN

  93. Nasir Jones……Cant wait for this

  94. Man I missed out can somebody Re-Up. I would greatly appreciate it.

  95. A classic moment in music will be soon upon us……Don’t miss it !

  96. man when i heard road to zion i was like shitttt. and then i found out about this shit?? hell yeah man nas and damien are probably one of the best combinations ever

  97. I am in South Africa and I have no idea when the album is dropping over here. I really wanted to get the CD today. It’s still early morning in the US anyway.

  98. This page appears to get a large ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to say is the most important factor.

  99. Here’s how to stop being anxious about what top brass think.

  100. Just thought I would comment and say neat theme, did you design it for yourself? Looks superb!
