Common – Next Time [Unreleased]

Marty unleashed another track from the Finding Forever Sessions. Why didn’t this make the album?

  1. G.O.O.D. music has arrived

  2. I’d have to guess clearance issues. This joint is dope as hell.

  3. This song would’ve definitely increased the play value for Finding Forever IMO

  4. some lines made it to different song same album………So I’m guessing clearance issues…

  5. Jonnie’s Favorite Rappers of All Time: 1. Nas 2. Common (Sense) 3. Lupe Fiasco 4. Q-Tip 5. GZA/Wu-Tang Clan

  6. The Believer is going be crack because anytime Common has Kanye and No I.D. on the boards it’s a classic.

  7. This kinda wouldn’t have flowed with the rest of the tracks on the album…unless it were right after Break My Heart on the tracklist

  8. Smh, blame the label…maybe the sample wasnt cleared. Even if The Believer is half of what “Be” was, ill be able to sleep.

  9. Meka, what is the media player you use to post the file to play on the actual post? KanYe uses the same one too…

  11. was this produced by yeezy? this is nice

  12. when are people going to finally realize common is top 10 dead or alive? Why do you have to have some corny gangsta image for people to respect you? hands down one of the best to ever do it…

  13. definitely dope. Yeah the chorus sample would have never been cleared. This and Strange Fruit ft John Legend would have been crazy for the album. Common’s dope. The Believer is gonna be crazy.

  14. the first verse last bars are same from break my heart on finding forever… this is dope though

  15. yall all wrong…this is george duke – “someday” –the same as “break my heart”..jus a different beat

  16. This was pretty dope. I think everything that ended up on FINDING FOREVER was better than this joint though, so I can see why they may have cut it. “Break My Heart” kinda had this same vibe.

FINDING FOREVER is one of my favorites of all time though. I’m excited for “The Believer”. UMC grew on me a bit, but it definitely wasn’t up to par with classic Common on BE and FINDING FOREVER>

  17. You know, as dope as that album was IMO, it was better because it didn’t drag onward with 15+ tracks. The two leaks and extended version of ‘start the show’ have all been dope, don’t get me wrong – but “Be” was a great album in part due to the short runtime. just my opinion, I’m glad to have these indexed in iTunes though. Almost warrants a “lost tapes” type release for the fans, maybe throw 3-4 more unearthed tracks on it and put it out.

  26. Y’all need to google the Arsonists “Fat Laces” (released around 2000)or youtube it. They flip the sample way better, nevertheless dope track. I’d have to agree with sample clearance issues being the reason this ain’t on album.
