Killer Mike – I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind 2 (Free Album)

870_killer_mike__i_pledge_allegiance_to_the_grind_ii_2008_1

The good ship Amistad is linking up with the artist now known as Mike Bigga (I really don’t like that new moniker) to drop his 2008 project for free. Applaud them for doing something that didn’t involve chasing away former employees for a change.

  1. already got it

  2. yea someone need to tell my dood killa mike bigga that everyone got it for free when it came out.. so who was waitin around like “nah ill get it if he put it out for free”.

but nice gesture to the people.

  3. i purchased this album when it came out, it was a bitch finding it but i found it at a local mom n pops store, spent 18 bucks, but it was damn well worth it

  4. Wait this album was never intended to be free? I know he says that these albums are not mixtapes, BUT that what the fluck it is! I love the first one. I couldn’t digest this one.

  5. “Pressure” (featuring Ice Cube) (Produced by Tha Bizness)

That track was even b4 fifty version out. why do more and more beats get in hands of at least 2 artists?

  6. “The good ship Amistad is linking up with the artist now known as Mike Bigga”

    hahahahahahha

I’m sorry, I had to comment once I saw this.

This has always been a pretty good album. “God Is In The Building” being my favorite.

  7. *”Gpd In The Building”*

I’m thinking about what the hooks says haha.

  8. mike what are u doin?? make these mothafuckaz buy dis classic mayne!!!! then again da folk who don’t really support hip hop by buyin da hard copies from the stores iz gon’ find away to download it anyway. fuck it….itz yo album mike! still jammin it since da release date!

  9. Decent move in my opinion. Mike gets enough love, but not nearly enough love. He needs to get enough buzz to drop projects more frequently than every 3-4 years. One of the best rappers in the game. We need more Killer Mike!

  10. Another Classic out of ATL

  11. Am I right in assuming that this certain LP is a modern classic?

    *downloads anyway

  12. Yea, this album stayed in my car for a good year after it came out. It def deserves to be called a classic.

  13. “Am I right in assuming that this certain LP is a modern classic?

    *downloads anyway”

damn right dis shit classic!….so as i pledge 1……betta then half da bullshit releasin nowadayz……i don’t kno bout yall but i need sum of dat raw hip hop!

  14. lmao this dude releasing his album for free lets me know that the shit had sucked jus giving it away now lmao

  15. You say Nicky is better than Jean and now this, I get the impression you try to annoy people on purpose Lil’ Kevin. You must be some sad little kid with no friends who has to work out his aggression by trying to make others as angry as you. Grow up son.

  16. I BOUGHT ALL MIKES ALBUMS.I ACTUALLY BOUGHT MONSTER AND I PLEDGE 1 TWICE. MONSTER, I PLEDGE 1, AND I PLEDGE 2 WERE ALL CLASSICS IMO. CANT WAIT FOR I PLEDGE 3 AND 16 IN THE KITCHEN. MIKE THE REAL KING OF GA.

  17. AND HE IS DOIN THIS CUZ HE SAID HE IS MORE FOR QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. SO INSTEAD OF OVERSATUREATIN THE GAME HE IS GONNA GIVE THIS AWAY FOR FREE TO PROMOTE I PLEDGE 3.

  18. props for giving away an album that is over 2 years old lol smh

  19. As a fan who owns all the hardcopies of Killer’s/Bigga’s (pledge 1 was hella hard to find in a store btw) ….this free release gambit is a smart move…

Folks feel like they came up (especially when said release was one of the best of 2008)
    &
The Artist (who has hopefully recouped any advance money by now) can both showcase his independence, save some energy that would have been poured into a mixtape with the look life of a week, tops…and hopefully spur people to purchase the rest of his catalogue in a legit fashion

why would an respected yet relatively unknown artist mixtape that will get lost in the tide of disposables hopefully

  20. i was just about to say the same shit, why artists gettin the same beat for there albums nowadays

  21. Great album, Killer Mike is a beast! Hope this move helps him get heard by some more people.

  22. ive been thirsting for some new killer mike music. having to digest all this noise these retards call hiphop is harmful to my mental health ooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
