Sade is the truth. Those that don’t like her music (which is very very few) will eventually love her one day, once they’ve lived life a bit more. Sade is for those who truly understand the depth of emotions.
I’m a big fan. The video is ok, but it is good to see her back again. I have always loved her style. No one sounds or looks like Sade. Everyone is entitled to their opinion However, Sade has managed to stay at the top of her game die 25 years! Her albums have been successful in 27 countries, she has sold over 50million records doing it HER way! She has the respect and admiration of the music indusrty and has won four grammys. She has said that she doesn’t do this for the money. She does it for artistic expression. I really admire her for her musical integrity. She writes and produces her music. She is a TRUE artist.

This is Sade’s version of military stuff. Still so feminine and classy. Her videos are always simple and this is no different. Soldier of love is a classic up to date material from a true artist. Looking forward to the romantic tracks on the album tho.

This song goes so hard, I love the concept of the video, at first I didn’t get the horse and the whole lasso swinging idea, but then it fit. I think the various exploits of her being a ninja assassin, a military general, a strategist, and all for the sake of love was visually exciting and the beat to this song transcends any time period, I love, love, this song.

It’s totally cool that you don’t get it/feel it. We all don’t like the same music and or artist and it is OK.
This video is subtle but FABULOUS! It’s hard to explain. I guess because the video is totally insync with the song/lyrics. Sade never diverts from who she is in an effort to sell records. She has always stayed true to self.
Damn…she continues to bring it. Bringing REAL MUSIC! I’ve enjoyed Sade since the early days of “Diamond Life” on vinyl record (yeah I know I’m old…so what?!). Can’t tell you how many times I have said “I love you” to a woman while bumpin’ her sh*t!
I highly recommend any young listener of music to go get all her albums and LISTEN to each track. She has made some of deepest lyrical content with deep and soulful meaning that virtually all artists today cannot not even come close to matching. Her voice is soft and piercing; delicate and depressing; uplifting and down-trodden; exquisitely painful and leaves you begging…no…CRAVING for more!
Kids today always talk about Jay-Z’s numbers…This woman has sold over 50 million albums sold and is multi platinum in 27 countries!!!! Jay-z falls short of Sade’s numbers and Jay-Z puts out albums once a year. Sade makes an album once every 2-3 years and her last one was 10 years ago (and watch how well this upcoming one will OBLITERATE anyone else coming out this year!)
