Game won with one song, it was called 300 Bars. Everything else (yeah, all 500 other songs) were just extra nails in the coffin that ensured 50′s downfall. For those keeping track, Rick Ross outsold 50 Cent. DTR deserved it too…

My mind hurts when people say Game won the diss with 300 bars. That’s an example of a weak diss. People hype it up because he went in for 300 bars but what did he say? He ain’t say shit. What the fuck did Game say that was relevant? He said less in 300 bars than Jay and Nas exchanged in their entire beef. Matter of fact 50 captured Game’s entire character in one diss (Not Rich, Still Lying) and Banks wrapped it up lyrically with Showtime, Game is Over. Honestly, the only reason people ride Game so hard is cause he’s from the West Coast.
This beef with Buck is silly. What can Buck really say? “50′s holding me in my contract.” That’s it. Everything else is his fault. I ain’t feeling it. Get at me when something real happens. Until then this is Buck being running his mouth off.

kidadonis said this on January 4th, 2010 at 11:04 pm
Honestly, the only one that got released was Mobb Deep. Probably more due to them creating material that was able to stand on itself. Not like they’ve been relevant in years but the album was still dope. Of course it gets a lot of hate because of the G-Unit/50 association. Granted it doesn’t top earlier releases but for being the in the game so long it’s better than a lot of peers putting out work.

Honestly, it was the bullshit grimey repetitive production of Havoc from Mobb Deep which killed Banks 2nd album Rotten Apple. Playboy 2 was the worst followup to the incredible original. Rotten Apple fell off hard. Bucks 2nd album however Buck The World was damn near classic. Nobody can argue against Buck The World—and that feature no g unit besides 50 one one song.

Anyone with half a brain knows 300 bars > any of 50s diss records.
The FIRST response to 300 bars was 300 shots which featured the ENTIRE G-Unit, and you can sit here and try to spin shit and catch feelings, but that diss was 100% garbage and forgettable. Game was shittin on the whole G-Unit with mix-tapes and disses and lyrically, no one on g-unit could go toe-to-toe with him, especially 50.

What mixtapes did Game release that we’re hot with the exception of BWS Journal Vol 1 and You Know What It Is Vol. 4? The rest of’em aren’t memorable. They’re throw aways that are not lyrical or hot nor have they stood the test of time.
One diss by 50 captured Game’s entire career. Everything else has been minor shots. Game can’t say the same thing. Game devoted the majority of his career to disses and his hottest one (My Bitch) is a remake of a Dr.Dre song (Bitches Ain’t Shit).
Game’s best tracks that came from the beef we’re the ones where he attempted to remove himself from the beef (lost ones freestyle to my turn).

Let’s compare

BISD & RED to be determined
Lil' Nello said this on January 4th, 2010 at 11:38 pm
Massacre is better than the Doctor’s Advocate which is both unoriginal and still feature heavy – it’s just Game remaking a bunch of classic west coast songs.
LAX and Curtis were both equally weak for different reasons.

Game has released material that has shown he’s capable of being a great artists but the majority of his commercial material is not remarkable especially since most of it isn’t original material. Where as 50 can say he’s original and a stand alone artist.

The truth is you can’t come back to my critiques. The Game has not been on the same level as 50. He is not as original or as inventive as an artists nor is he a better lyricists.
All 3 of Game’s albums have all been feature heavy; name drop heavy; and have consisted of too many remakes of songs by legends (from dr.dre to mase to tupac).
Where as 50 has released, for the most part, all original material that has not been feature heavy nor reliant on a particular crutch for lyricism. Get at me when you have an actual argument.

Where as 50 has released, for the most part, all original material that has not been feature heavy nor reliant on a particular crutch for lyricism. Get at me when you have an actual argument. I’m not a real fan of 50, but let’s see this from another perspective. 50′s “diss” songs like window shopper of piggy bank were put on his albums and got played on music channels world wide. He actually made a lot of monney out of it. 50 reaches a waaay bigger public than Game.
But let’s be honnest: 50 is the better business man, Game the better artist.
Who won ? In my opinion they both fucked up.If they would’ve worked together 50 could’ve made more money and Game better music.

I agree with Shake on this one. As much as the this beat is dope, there’s no need to rap about was 50? 50 is on tour right now getting HIS money. What are you doing Buck? This could have been a dope SONG instead of an attempt to get some ATTENTION. Buck should be focused on getting his money where he can in this BUSINESS. Talking about other people on songs is PLAYED. Make some dope music and make people come find you with their offers. BUCK, you know better !!! Make music, not BULLSHIT !!!
Tony Ray said this on January 5th, 2010 at 6:51 am
“how is Buck suppose to “move on” when 50 wont let him out of his contract, Shake?”
ive said it like four times in this thread. 50 has control of bucks retail releases. you notice how buck can take the time out to drop three diss records (that inevitably wont do anything for him). why not drop three quality songs instead and continue that way until you figure something out?
Shake said this on January 5th, 2010 at 7:24 am
When 50 creates something it’s often original as in he doesn’t often remake other songs.
When Game has done it, it’s often been a remake of another song – Start From Scratch is not Game’s original concept. He’s basically remixed a bunch of classics and gets a lot of love as if he came up with the og concept.
My Life – seriously?
Save Angel for Common’s verse but Game didn’t bring anythign to the table.
Doctor’s Advocate – dope song
Like Father, Like Son – dope song
Why You Hate The Game – dope song
One Night
Letter To The King – weak sauce, it’s basically Game riding Nas’s coattails “hey, i can be conscious too! (which he sucks at) let me jump on the bandwagon.”
While other rappers may name drop, Game name checks nearly every other fucking line. It isn’t a little bit more.
They both cover subject matter that’s been discuss a million times. You may think Game puts more “soul” into his music and that’s fine you can connect to it. I don’t really care to discuss that for it’s all opinionated.
I can prove to you that Game isn’t as original as you want him to be; that he remakes classic songs; that he relies of name dropping; and that he heavily uses guest features. You can’t prove he puts more soul into his music because that’s your opinion.
james said this on January 5th, 2010 at 8:03 am
^ I agree with that very much so..in simple terms Game is not a great rapper. But as much as 50 cent makes original songs, in terms of subject matter its all the same..
To be blunt they are both boring rappers who have an ear for a good beat and have great producers at their backs.

@James Original garbage is still garbage.
and your critique of most of Game’s catalog seems to be that you didn’t like the songs, LAX had a number of really good, poignant songs on it. Yes, My Life, was a GOOD song. Wayne on the hook doesn’t take away from that. LAX Files was an incredible opening track on which Game was as good as Dr. Dre in his prime. Cali Sunshine and Money were as superficial as all of 50s garbage but lyrically much better. Never Can Say Goodbye and Game’s Pain proved that Game is at his best over a slow, introspective beat.
But yes, that song with Nas at the end was TRITE.
shhhhh said this on January 5th, 2010 at 9:55 am
Also, what is everyone’s problem with name-dropping? It’d be a thing if he were lying but fuck, if I knew Eminem, I’d talk about it too. I like that enthusiasm, he still comes off as a fan sometimes and that’s okay with me.
shhhhh said this on January 5th, 2010 at 9:56 am
Okay, for all the idiots that says 50 got a hold on Yong Buck’s career is stupid. One, yes 50 still have Buck under contract — no doubt about that. Two, 50 is a businessman still so he wants his money. So I would understand Young Buck can put an album out so 50 can make his cut. Truthfully, I highly doubt 50 is holding onto Buck’s album from releasing because I don’t believe Buck is going platinum nor gold so he can care less. He’s not paying for the promotions. And no, I’m not a bigger fan of 50 than Buck. I don’t take sides of these artists, they’re not paying me to defend them.

Let’s Ride = Dr.Dre’s “Let Me Ride”
wouldn’t get far = tupac’s “all about you”
There’s more…but…
@ shhhhh Obviously I don’t like the songs … becuase I think they’re bad.
LAX files = ass…it’s the corniest gangsta track from Game “i put a star on my face, that’s why they call me star face.” garbage. I like Wayne, I’m not criticising him. The song was still ass. Melodramatic bullshit.
It’s not about superficial shit. I don’t care if you rap about cars or hoes. It’s a part of life. I don’t listen to Game expecting him to teach me. I just though those tracks (Money, Sunshine) were boring, not memorable.
Game’s Pain is dope. Love the homage. Name dropping done effectively.
