14. I mean come on people your talkin mainstream. These guys cant go mainstream not because they can rhyme or where they are from. I mean come on HipHop is global so you have to appeal to more than a local audience. In the golden era they didnt have to worry about the world. Now if your a big name artist, goin across seas is part of the business. And they dont have the marketability to do so.

    I think Termanology has the most marketability, but he wants to stay as true to the HipHop as possible and there arent a lot of labels that will allow him to do that.

    But when your talkin mainstream it takes more than talent. If they cant market you, your not worth the investment. If you dont fit the bottom line, your gonna get signed. Making music is great, but mainstream music in general is not about music its about money. Even in underground labels if you cant sell underground they wont keep you. Thats just business.

    Its a harsh reality, but even in our golden age they still had to sell. Even the realist rappers had to make a song that by today’s standards had to make ringtone numbers.

    Its all about marketability.
