Considering the original is already epic, I would never see the reason to redo it. But Hasan Insane took the time out to flip the same sample Blaze used for something fresh. Blending a Nas verse in at perfect timing. Some folks will enjoy this (like myself), while others will talk shit til their fingers bleed. Either way, it gives me another chance to demand suggest ya’ll support Exhibit C on iTunes.

Who’s the guy on the left in the hoody and vest.
LOL @ Elec lazy eye
a really nice mix here. big ups to hasan!
on second thought – that drum pattern is kind of annoying
are you serious?
At the very least, it’s an interesting listen. Beat’s not as good, but it’s whatever. Can we get a version with Nas blended in on Just’s original beat? lol
I’m just dying to hear Nas and Elec together on some new shit. Imagine if Jay would’ve spit a verse on Queens Get The Money too. Shit would’ve been amazing. Hopefully the rumours of Nas being on Act II are true. Can’t wait for New Years.
dope
The sampling is nice, but that drum pattern IS kind of, I dunno. Out of place? Dope overall though.
If Nas gets on a remix on the original though, awh man. It’ll be on.
def worth the download though – i’ll stash it on the external hard drive
i realize j.cole used that sample too on his warm up mixtape
I like it. Just Blaze’s beat was better but this is dope too…
this shit is eh……leave well enough alone
Ahaha, shake, continue with your bitch fits. Its hilarious knowing that you get pissed at the people “hating” when you give your demeaning opinions every other sentence/
@whaha what song on the warm up used it?
also, this shit is dope and i for one like the drums.
also, ken raises a point i’ve been noticing forever
Ahh. Getaway is the track on the warm up that uses the sample i think.
P’cola if your serious than kill yourself. Lets hope not, but its only one of the greatest lyrical rappers of all time (IMO the best alive) ………………………………………… NAS!
Yo, has Hasan Insane done any notable production for rappers? I remember he did this mixtape with blends of Jay-Z & Nas on his beats and he absolutely killed it!
This beat is just alright, definitely not his best.

Shit was still hot, like the way Nas came on..
haha wow i was just working on a blend with my friend for exhibit c with the exact same nas verse on thats crazy
http://twitter.com/TheMegatronDon/status/7169099045
Exile sampled that song on Radio, but used the next few measures. Both his and Justs were dope. Hasan combined the two and it worked again, this is dope too
But who is just talkin bout on tiwtter?
J.Cole used this sample nice but Just Blaze killed it and Hassan did aight…..twitter.com/bigtris216
Hasan has this really dope track with AC called “Rae Told Me” where he flipped the C.R.E.A.M. sample…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OkFELmWT_o
yea J.Cole used it, and thats a perfect example of how its all about the producer and not the sample. whoever made the beat for cole made something decent that you could vibe to, while Just Blaze made an Epic sounding track.
j.cole used it on get away
this remix is dope

Nas is the GREATEST!!!!
Nas is way a head of the game…Nas is a genius!
Not feeling the beat. It doesn’t match the epicness of the lyrics. He did a good job on that ‘Rae Told Me’ joint though.
Out of curiosity. I’d like facts, not just blatant stanning. What makes this song so good? The rhymescheme isn’t incredible, the lyrics aren’t amazing.
I mean train/rain/name/change/pain/lame/slang/rang/name/mane/flames/chains/homeless/corners/corona/informed em’/come from/slum, hum
etc etc. I mean I don’t see why everyone’s on dude how they are. yeah he a breath of fresh air, the track dope. i copped off itunes jus to give dude numbers for the effort.. but it’s nothing like how cats is makin it out to be. what am i missing.
[...] If you loved the original, you will def dig this. Hasan Insane flips the record and blends in a dope Nas verse for an amazing remix. Spotted at 2dbz. [...]

Jay Electronica’s Exhibit C + ft. Nas « Phresh Graffiti said this on December 29th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Mix is dope…Nas’s verse is just filler compared to Jay’s ill rhymes on this though, there’s no need for it. @ P’cola, it’s just one of those things you gotta feel yo, the rhymes are original and the rhymescheme changes constantly every other line to keep you guessin’, but most importantly dude just has PRESENCE on the mic
Just Blaze>J Cole>Hasan Insane
Erykah Badu’s ass>Kelis’ ass
how?! p’cola, he’s tellin a story. his story, nigga was homeless!
delivery, the voice and just blaze …simplest metaphors be the DOPE!
Jay Electronica is not all that…you fools are truly overhyping him just like you do most lyrical cats such as Lupee ect!
The third verse on this song DOES NOT compare to any thing Nas spit when he came in the GAME!!!! Jay Electronica called Nas one of the GREATEST writers in HISTORY!
This was not what I expected. Not as good as the Just Blaze version..
@P’cola: co-sign 1000%! Jay Electronica is no story teller…he gives no visuals at all! So what he was homeless? @ crimeald: The rhyme scheme is not original it is actually predictable!!!
What makes this track so dope is just Jay’s overall presence on the mic. Nah he didn’t have any jaw droppin punchlines or rhyme schemes on this shit, but he knows how to put words together to make you feel what he’s sayin. Not to sound corny or nothin but it’s kind of like poetry…
I don’t see it. I mean imma deff check his mixtape(if it drops), and I’ll probably even cop the album because I’m sure the recession will be over and I’ll be well into my 50s when it drops. But as for right now.. He average. Not garbage in any way, but nothin that’s amazing. I’ll have to wait to see more from him.
I understand where P’cola is coming from. I don’t understand J cole’s hype but that just me and it doesn’t matter in the end. All that matters is if you appreciate someones flow/lyrics and what he brings to the table than it is all gravy baby.
I can rhyme Electronica with Hanukkah that is not peotry. Can we say ‘INTERNET HYPE!” Poetry makes you visualize what the poet is saying like @ larry stated there is no story telling or ability to make you visualize his words in this song! There are few artists that can do that Nas, Andre 3000 or Lupe are great examples of poets who makes their audience visualize what they are saying! @DynamicShots if his rhyme scheme is not anything special how can his overall prescence on the mic be anything special/or that has not been heard before by other artists like Saigon for example! Jay Electronica is pretty good with putting words together but he is missing key elements such as details or visuals!
evidently, you don’t know WHAT the fuck you talkin bout.
what kinda rhyme shceme u lookin for? wat kinda metaphors u lookin for? missin detail/visuals? are u serious, nigga his story paints a picture…listen to “departure”. listen to his verse on “whos gonna save my soul”. his story of comin up is a lil different then the usual gettin out the ghetto. they comparin him to NASTY NAS becuz his story tellin. and listenin to what, 2 of his joints you know what you talkin about? get outta here w that
A man will always have haters…… Jay Electronica is my favorite artist right now. No point in arguing over who’s better or if lupe’s rhymes are more visual. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT NIGGAS, SO WHY COMPARE. Thats what females do, compare so stop acting like some hoes and appreciate his music. We live in sad times when a man can respect words from a guy like lil wayne and gucci mane. But then you got a guy spittin the truth and tellin you his REAL story and not the same ol drug story, niggas dont respect it. But how i think is those niggas dont even deserve a response to the hate so hate on. But the original was wayyyyy better and nas verse is old. Jay elect is da GOD
Wait, wait. You guys are hating on JE? Who do you guys feel then?
No hate just people speaking there truth! Jay Electronica is far from the GOD! You GROUPIE niggas need to be slapped comparing this man to GOD! Who doesn’t know that Nas verse is old it’s from Why You Hate The Game!
OK
Jay elec doesn’t talk about material dreams, or how many pilots he knows on a first name basis, or being ya girls favorite rapper. Also I doubt that if hes droppin verses live on the radio, he’ll be reading them (off paper or blackberry).
Jay reps the essence of the culture, not the triple beam dreams of studio gangstas and paper capers that have flooded and destroyed hip hop.
Its obvious in his words that he comes from the struggle and still goes thru it. I, personally, cant relate to wannabe MC’s born with silver spoons in their mouths
okay okay relax, only pac spit verses that can be used as poetry. Nas been close, JE is good too. But overall, listen to Changes….you can read that shit straight outta a poetry book with nikki giovanni on the next page
IMO, of course
Act accordingly as the sunshine remains eternal, memories will fade or completely be erased – maybe call them transformations. we all act as exhibits like wax figures in museums. the style wars fought like shadow wars in the confines of these 4 walls. telling them to “be cool, relax” a holiday is coming and it most definitely includes Bitches And Drugs. Victory Is In our Clutches.
this is so dope
pcola, Ill def check his mixtape, i bought his ish on itunes just for numbers….dude just admit, u LOVE JAY ELECT!
