Thanks to my good friend Dre, I’ve known about the new season of the Boondocks for quite some time now. And while the mastermind behind the series has been keeping us up to date via Twitter — dropping screenshots (included after the jump), etc — we weren’t sure as to when we’d actually get to see a new episode. The final date still hasn’t been revealed, but according to Aaron McGruder we’ve got about three months. Dope!

Finally, there’s proof that they’re coming out with a third season. You see, I thought the series was getting canceled. I remembered when the second season came out. I anticipated that for a while, now I got the third season in the back of my head but it still one of my favorite show but come out, please!

This ought to be very interesting. They were advertising the Season 3 episodes last SUMMER. Then, nothing. Makes me wonder, why? Seems Aaron, whom I respect very much, was waiting to see what would
happen during the first year of the administration before exercising
his 1st Amendment right to “free speech”. I could be wrong, but, I
venture MacGruder was just “doing his part”, as it were. Can’t WAIT for the new season! This show never would have gotten aired
if MacGruder wasn’t a black man, and that’s seriously wrong. Thank goodness it did. We’ll know if his rapier sarcasm will remain intact, or if he’ll cow-tow, within the first 2 or 3 episodes.
