Jay-Z – Forever Young f. Mr. Hudson (Video)

This is basically the “radio rip” equivalent of the video, as the official one drops tomorrow morning. Still not a fan of this cut, however… Props to TLF.

  1. lol at tapin a tv

  2. i never understood why a successful businessman, would be so scared to age. jay has attempted to portray a younger image his entire career.. this song just finalized it. it’s a dope song, but the hook deff should had been different.

  3. At least credit where you got this from what the fuck. I’m the one behind the fucking camera.

  4. Not a fan of this song. They should have made Real As It Gets, Already Home or Onto The Next One the next single.

  5. ^ On To The Next One is the next single, video should be out soon. This video was more so done for a UK release.

  6. This song is straight doo-doo butter

  7. yeah on to the next or shorty get it in

  8. one of Jay’s worst records, and I’m a stan.

  9. Don’t like this song or MOST of BP3

  10. shoulda just gave mr hudson the song cuz jay does not sound like he belongs on this

  11. http://whatuknowaboudat.blogspot.com/2009/12/album-review-young-money-we-are-young.html

We’ll get the good version cuz i dont do radio rips or video rips lol

  12. Really surprised you guys are saying this. The song is sooo smooth, not to mention is sounds real good at a house party. And his message is not about being “young”, it’s about leaving behind a legacy. Kinda of a follow up to what he was saying on “History”

  13. ^ I hear you on the music and everything but I just think the song feels forced. I wasn’t even the biggest fan of History. With that said I’m curious to see what concept Swizz and Jay use for Onto The Next One…

  14. I second what Jf.vIGOr said…this shit was the best song on the album…this is one of JayZ’s best songs period and no I’m not a stan. Mr. Hudson set it off too.

Maybe when u get a lil older you’ll understand…and I’m not saying that like I’m old either (24), I’m just sayin some shit will make sense in time, concepts dont mean shit till u graduate from college get out on your own, have kids, etc and look back at the shit you did and how u did it.

  15. They’ve already discussed that video. It’s going to involve a spaceship and small planets. And they’ll visit a planet and then fly away, on to the next one.

  16. SMH @ all the hate for the track!
    Forever Young >

  17. how fitting. Gay video for a gay song.

  18. this track cool but its too mellow for me and does seemed forced I like the song but I can say its my least fav on the album

  19. On To The Next One is complete trash too. Worst song on the album. This song isn’t that good either. He should have the vids for the only Three good songs on BP3. The album really wasn’t that good.

  20. The 1st song, Thank You, and A Star Is Born are the only relistenable songs on BP3

  21. man fuck yall! This song is good, BP3 is great and Jay is a legendQ keep doin ya thing big homie

  22. this is a nice song to close out an album. i wonder what the haters of this song would use to close their album…

oh whats that? they dont have one? then they should shut the fuck up complaining about something that isnt forced upon them. if you dont like it, skip past and move along.

and as a side note, its “nice” to see the ignorant and unintelligent cant find better ways to express themselves, so they call something “gay”. who knew songs had sexual orientations?

  23. my dick get hard when I see dough

  24. This song is the definition of corny, just like Beach Chair. The hook is corny, and Jay-Z’s lyrics sound forced, over a throw away 808′s beat. Jay just doesn’t know how to make songs like this, he should take some lessons from his buddy Kanye, because Street Lights is this type of song done right. And this is coming from a huge Jay fan.

  25. @ yomitsuki ongaku

I would probably have used Thank You to close the album, or maybe drop this song and add History to close the album

  26. this has to be one of the highlight tracks for me. this track is something almost anyone can relate to in some way.

  27. Really surprised you guys are saying this. The song is sooo smoot

  28. Jay is washed up

  29. Its cool its cool. I have to admit though I sometimes feel ashamed for liking this.

    Forever White !

  30. I dont get the hate? I live in the UK and this is played every morning and its a great way to start the day, a very uplifiting track from a legend.

  31. the niggas on here sayin Jay-Z’s lyrics is washed up and hatin on his music cant make anything of his talent…he’s the best hands down! He’s 40 and is still #1! I guess that make u niggas mad huh? yall niggas prolly think 50′s album was the better than BP3…hahaha internet niggas is hilarious yo

  32. Lol @ the hate, and you’re surprised he’s releasing “on to the next one” as his next single? do you not know how marketing works? make a catchy beat, put it on the TV so all the teenagers in suburbs jizz their pants and buy the single.

  33. Wow. I too am so very shocked about all the hate for Jay, BP3 and this song. I really think it’s an age thing. Jay-Z, for all intents and purposes, is a rapper for adults and the youth who “get it”. This song is GREAT, as is Beach Chair. I’m curious as to what the median age is for those of you who don’t like it. I’m a 32 year-old hip-hop fan who likes everything from Nas, Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, etc.

This is like the first place ever that I’ve seen such an anti-Jay sentiment.

At the end of the day, Jay-Z makes excellent, thought provoking music that’s loved by the masses, yet still keeps a quality above most if not all other rappers.

  34. @ YoDaddyBrother

I’m 26, graduated college 4 years ago, have my own house, car and wife and a very good job. This song is still ass. It’s not about growing up or maturing more to understand the song, it’s about this song being ass, pure and simple.

    @yomitsuki ongaku

you’re setting up a straw man argument. this isn’t about “what song would you use to close an album”, this is about THIS song NOT it’s sequence. the song is cow droppings.

    @ everybody else

I’d love to judo chop the next nigga on here who uses the word “hate”. The song is booty cheeks. If you like this wack ass song and it’s ok, but for the rest of us, it’s super swiss cheese. The beat is corny, that sample shouldn’t have ever been touched and Mr. Hudson isn’t the strongest of singers. Jay doesn’t even sound convincing.

In conclusion, this song is dog rectum.

  35. ^^^^^^^
Well put, people seem to think you have to be 30 something to understand the song, its not that, everyone understands what its about, its just the fact that in a musical sense the song is garbage, its not anti-Jay sentiment, its anti bad music sentiment.

  36. A better version is on youtube and Jay-Z.com now.

  37. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1nbvplgElw&feature=player_embedded

  38. does anybody know of cannon i mean da dude on top of me..is he a mere individual, who passes comment on legends for a living ?how much is he paid for hating as well passing comments..nothing…… oooooh im sorry for him

  39. @crownprince

    you made absolutely no sense

  40. 10 Ya Heard Me(Feat. Lil Wayne, Juve.mp3

  41. @ Cannon ….”hate” haha lol. were da judo chop nikka lol. u killed me with that 1. (no e-beef lol)

    no but really @everyone
forever young is an okay song..catchy chorus..but definetly not of jays best songs ever lol..but thats my opinion.

@Shake…..smh for puttin this vid up so late..its been out for ages now., u need to shake that holiday spirit of u old man.
    neway

    Happy christmas.

  42. i hope yall this was basically a remake of a 80s pop single… its an ok song but its just too corny to me… thats how a lot of the album feels to me, corny and somewhat forced… i can only fuck with like 5 or 6 tracks off BP3

    oh and Beach Chair>>>>Forever Young

  43. [...] night Mek posted the bootleg version that Tim’s Neighbor found on the internets. Now it’s time to drop the real deal. [...]

  44. WTF DO IDIOTS MEAN AFRAID TO AGE?????/THIS SONG IS DEEP, AND ITS FIRE…JUST LIKE FALLEN SOLIDER, SONG CRY,YOU MUST LOVE ME, MEET THE PARENTS AND THE LIST GOES ON..HOV IS THE G.O.A.T..THAT’S WHY AFTER 15 ALBUMS,11 SOLO ,HE CAN STILL GO PLATINUM AND SELL OUT ARENAS IN FUCKING MINUTES..WHAT OTHER RAPPER HAS OR CAN ACCOMPLISH THAT???NO ONE

  45. Niggas jus love to hate Jay period…if Lupe made sum bogus shit niggas would be dick riding! bt its cool Jay is Lupe, Wayne, The Game, 50, and every other rappers influence and helped alot of niggas careers…beefing or whatever
