^^Righhhht because Padded Room, Only Built For Cuban Linx II, Slaughterhouse, Escape Route, The Salvation, My Soul To Keep, Diary Of An ATL Brave, Cover The Classics, and the Slaughterhouse D.O.A. freestyle didn’t come out this year right?

    J. Cole is an average spitter. He’s better than most but he doesn’t bring anything insanely special to the table I don’t understand why everyone bigs him up so much and young guys like Skyzoo, Donnis & Sha Stimuli are so much better and so beyond are rarely ever talked about. Guarantee if Hov didn’t have the co-sign a good portion of his fans wouldn’t be on him as much.

  26. ^^I was with you until “Diary Of An ATL Brave”…

  27. Jared, how are you gonna compare a bunch of albums to a mixtape? That makes no sense.

  28. What does it being a “mixtape” have to do with anything? The majority of the beats used were original and not other peoples. And it was 22 tracks.

The Mood Muzik series is considered mixtapes but there better than most albums. Escape route was considered a mixtape but is one of the ebst releases this year. It seems to me like J. Cole put alot of effort and time into the warm up so it didn’t feel like a mixtape like wayne would make but more of a prelude to his album.

  29. “The Warm Up” couldnt be touched in 09 on a hip hop level…sorry

So Far Gone couldn’t be touched in 09 on a MUSIC level…sorry

  30. It was still a mixtape, and you compared it to a bunch of albums, that makes no sense at all, but then again you seem like a Joe Budden stan so there’s no point in arguing with you.

  31. Why am i stan? Because Joes music has happened to help me with some of my own personal depression and he’s one of the dopest MC’s to ever touch the mic so i really appreciate what he puts out?

Quality is quality is quality. Theres tons of mixtapes that have been released since mixtapes were introduced to the world that are wayyyy better than the album that artist happens to put out.

If its a high quality mixtape theres no reason why it shouldnt be compared to an album.

  32. Fashawn’s “Boy Meets World” couldn’t be touched on any level…sorry

  33. What did you all think of Wiz’s mixtape?
