every single rapper you like started off making shitty remixes. so you trying to “save us” (read: shake’s inbox) from shitty remixes isn’t doing the genre you claim to love any service at all. let shittrapperX do his shit remix. cause for every 1000 of him, we’re gonna get one Blu, or Big Sean, or Drake,…….. or Jay…..or Nas.

Thanks guys. It’s just something I noticed. I like rap a lot and it’s gonna stagnate without people starting off shitty and ending up great. And yeah there are a few out there who can rap awesomely as soon as they start. But for the most part, any one who is great at anything once was terrible as fuck at it. I just don’t like how, in my very humble opinion, shake often talks down to artists because, once again in my own opinion, he’s a gate keeper between new artists and a listening audience. I’m sure when he first started fucking around with photoshop it wasn’t awesome. Now he has his own website dedicated to his digital art. Saying shit like he did in his UPDATE justs makes it harder for artist to wake up and do what they love. And all cause of what? He doesn’t want to be bombarded with emails from no name rappers? You pretty much signed up for that when your rap blog…which features new and established artists alike….got successful. Let niggas dream man.
You’ve totally got a point, O-dude.. but at the same time, there’s a huge difference between someone “coming up” starting out etc, who put their passion and time and HUGE fucking effort to make something not just decent, or good, but GREAT– Even if their best isnt up to par at the moment, they’re still putting in ALL THEY’VE GOT; On the flip side, someone putting out a remix within one hour of a track being released is NOT doing that, and really just doing this genre a giant disservice and even worse than that- shitting on it. Don’t half-ass something and hope that you actually do something decent and someone will give you some air time. Bleed. And eventually someone will give you air time, cuz all that bleeding will make for some FABULOUS skills.
