Thats not what I heard, someone close to Dre told me he’s waiting till the find the cure so he can package the AIDS shot with the Detox deluxe edition, which will also include the 3988 songs that aren’t going to be on the normal retail version of the album. And the super deluxe edition is also going to have tickets for the NWA reunion tour and night vision goggles.

Firstly I have seen white spiders. As a graduate student at Vanderbilt University, I saw them being milked for there venom to treat joint pain. Great – so there are white spiders. How common are they? Not very. Do most people think of white spiders when they think of spiders? No.
I don’t doubt your unfortunate experiences, but comparing a race riot to this image and trying to relate the two – in my opinion – is completely irrational thinking. I, just like most other people, see a spider & a woman. You choose to add a race element and see a black spider & a white woman. Do you get offended by the 120+ words in the English language that have the word ‘black in them too?

Everything is not at face value. when i think of spiders i think of brown not black spiders. Most are some variation of brown, thus this made me think…… All white everything and a black spider. That doesn’t riide well with me and i guess several others. My whole point of writing this and comparing it is to let everyone know that there is still underlying racism. And I along with several others agree but only two of you say we are being critical. Does not college teach you to be a critical thinker. I couldn’t be a doctor if i weren’t. And the comment and the image relates greatly. In this image there are underlying racial issues that are softly played. In the race riots, the final conclusion was that a random group of guys got to fighting and there was no racial provocation. But I do understand you are a person listening not going through or have gone through it. As a healthcare professional, I do my upmost to keep equality upheld. In clinic photos, I make sure that an assortment of ethnic backgrounds, creeds, and sexaul oreintations are present. Couldn’t the team that took this aids pic have been a little more careful in its advertisement. Why not a multi-colored room with a brown spider? I have had patients ask me all the time did aids start with black people. And the missed up part is blacks ask me that too, due to the things they see on TV. The media can change opions of millions overnite. With this in mind is this not racist. Would not the black population obtain subliminal thoughts about this; ad about themselves? I agree with the fact we need to start with ourselves to stop racism. So I have stopped but were are talking about a world of people who have enslaved and killed millions because of there religion and color. The US and western world wouldn’t be here if it were not so. Finally, I don’t have any problems with black words. None. But there are not black words in the ad. There are black subliminal suggestions. I feel like this is a perfect example of conditioned blacks being further conditioned causing an alteration in there psycho-self analysis. If you are a real doctor or therapist, you would understand the mental plight of blacks who feel that they are not as good as other races. They feel like if they can’t depend on sports they won’t make it. So why give in to this more with these types of images with such suggestion of “negative implicit self-esteem”?
I’m actually studying these ads for my undergraduate assingment. And actually, even though the creators of this ad didn’t think they were being racist, i can see the underlying racist imagery. The thing with advertisments, media and anything that is ever created in this society is that like it or not, it is shaped by socially argreed upon dominant ideologies that causes images like this. images like this sustain and support the ideology. Racism is a dominant discourse in western society and the fact that in christian symbolism light = good and dark = bad, considering the time when that idea was transposed onto everyday symbolism ( hundreds of years ago when everyone was still massively ignorant and racist) the fact that black = bad was probably influenced by racism. therefore, even though the creators of this add weren’t trying to be explicitly racist, racism is one of the many ideas put forward by this particular combination of images and words.
