All cause 808s went platinum doesn’t mean it wasn’t a fail. It’s common sense that dude sold out to autotune to make that pop album and it’s disrespect to his fans that didn’t want to hear that garbage. A lot of classic rock albums don’t have many tracks, not saying this is gonna be classic.
Oh and how can you call 808′s a fail when almost every respectable critic had one of its singles in its top ten songs of the year. Not to mention it went platinum. And its not really selling out if every single person in the industry used it, basically hip-hop sold out on the whole autotune thing, plus Kanye was using that back in the College Dropout days, listen to Jesus Walks. And one of the reasons he probably didn’t put out another album is because he released a line of shoes with two different companies, released about 3 books, was one of the lead producers on Blueprint 3, and at one point was planning what was gonna be the biggest tour of the year; so not many artists would have been able to make an album in that time also. And I guess you haven’t listened to any of his music from this year, because he’s been tearing shit up.
