Before I head to the mall for some early Christmas shopping, I wanted to drop some exciting news. Epic Records just announced today that Sade’s long-awaited album, Soldiers of Love, will be released on February 8th! First studio album in almost a decade!
Dope! Sade was always one of my favorite female singers.

Can’t wait. Love Deluxe was one of the first joints that I really listened to without having the company of a female. All Sade’s joints have been hot and War of the Hearts is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Young asses. Sade isn’t a group. Lovers Rock was a good album, but she has been putting out classics since way before that.

The band is named after the lead singer Sade. When they separated in I’d say 2002, the band took on the name Sweetback and released an album.
So in a sense both are right. Sade was the band and Sade is the lead singer. That is all.
