  20. smh at people still believing ANYTHING this josh character says. he obviously just says shit to get yall hyped.

  21. this diddy autotune is the lamest thing i’ve heard in years. he’s joke as a rapper, why he has to be a joke as a “singer” too? i hadn’t heard this song till now. lupe was good though.

  22. Yeah don’t believe Josh, he’s Illuminati, its all lies!

  23. Zshare link anyone? Usershare dont work wit thr iTouch

  24. I wish he did more. That hook is too damn fucking long and annoying. But I did liked the way Lupe spit his bars different though.

  25. Lu killed this shit

  26. If Lupe isnt your favorite, i wanna know why!

  27. i fucked with this beat/hook since i first heard it but there was way too much Diddy on autotune for my liking, but this right here was fire… first verse was illlll!

  28. LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPE’s terd > Lil Wayne

  29. Lupe Fiasco > Jay-z’s Whole Blasphemous career

  30. lupe>everyone

  31. Do yall haters hear all these metaphors the boy is usin?

Swear this man is genius..he’s the most creative writer in the game right now

    Lupe > Slaughterhouse

  32. GET EM LU

  33. Lupe Fiasco > Jay-z’s Whole Blasphemous career

    woah woah woah.

  34. Wayne Better Be Nervous and this is coming from me kid kid my name every wanted poster and wanted by every lady cop all over.Jay should be too.Waiting on that Drake and Lupe record gonna be a shocker.

  35. Whats the woahs for diji?

  36. This is shit for educated ppl, spit the whole verse personifying heaven as an automobile

If he really wants to make the next Hottest MCs List I say he makes a Gucci Mane or Drake diss track.. End 1 of their careers

    Lupe > Hottest MCs List

  37. LUPE! YEA! hot shit right here cant wait for this mixtape or Lloyd Banks V5 Mixtape 2 of the best tapes to drop the end of this year

  38. Can someone reiterate some of Lupe’s lines up here? When I listen to new Lupe I can never follow along.

    Beautiful lyricism.

  39. I challenge anyone against Lupe. Any fucking rapper still breathing.

  40. can someone post lyrics?

  41. 2010 is gonna be the year of lupe.

    new zodiac symbol right there.

  42. The lyrics I think:

    verse 1

i see diamond flooded demons, lamborghini angels/
halos down wit the doors flappin when they came through/
windows up, system bumpin, u the 1 they sang to/
same 2 who said they the 1s u should send ur thanks thru/
pockets full of blessings, they can sanctify and saint u/
u can hear em revvin up in heaven now, cant u?/
sandles made of chrome, his soul made of leather/
an engine full of sinnin and candy painted feathers/
the sound of the motor only revvin/reverend u confess to/
i see this all in the eyes of the girl im next to/
i asked her “where we goin?”, and she just told me pleasure/
hands on the wheel, and her heels on the accela/
rator, told her wait up, she kept goin like etcetra/
but like a broken record, we’ve come to far to just wheel it back selector/
so we gon’ ride foreva, foreva, foreva, foreva, foreva/

    verse 2

said she was a fan of mine/
knew she was new jersey, but said that she was anahiem/
butterflies turn to suicides, now its phantoms flyin/
used to whisper in my ear, but now she tryna vandal mine/
that holy feelin/hollyfieldin all gone, slowly feelin all wrong/
none of this is satisfyin, pull it over, let me out, ill just hitch hike back to mine/
nothings really as it seems, yea i shoulda known that/
thought i called a angel, devils had my phones tapped/

  43. @kid kid my name
thats an overstatement don’t you think? well i AM a jay-z fan though lol.

  44. knew she was a new jersey (devils), but said that she was anaheim (angels)….. thought i called a angel, devils had my phones tapped

yeah Lupe has this rapping thing on lock

  45. im sorry i cant even get into this song, diddy fucking ruins it. what the fuck is he thinking? he way late to the autotune party and everyone already left except the last few people who passed out with a cup in they hand..

fuck diddy for wasting a lupe verse o two.

  46. @diji me too but aftr lookin at evidence of how shady aperson jay is he lost acouple points in the goat race. if lupe keeps his word on the material to come im sure he’s gonna have some of ppls top 5′s shaking.

  47. Lupe>Hottest MC’s list lol
    cool points rite there

  48. sidenote: its not autotune its a flanger. /noshots. i actually hate that shit too. but i mean if your gonna talk shit about someone you might as well know what it is youre bitching about.

  49. i need a mix with rae and lupe and nobody else? i’ll ask a homie

  50. Lupe = future GOAT hate it or love it

  51. @nicolaus
yea dis the first time im hearin it to.
dont really like the hook but Lu makes it listenable.

  52. And the takeover has begun. Lu is back.

  53. an engine full of sinnin and(cinnamon)candy painted feathers/
the sound of the motor only revvin/reverend u confess to/

    fuckin lupe

  54. @fro
you think it makes a fucking difference to me? whatever it is its wack and ruined the song. dont know how youd even expect people to know what flanger is.

  55. used to whisper in my ear, but now she tryna vandal (evander) mine/
that holy feelin (holyfielding) all gone, slowly feelin all wrong/

    lupe’s metaphors are just (2)dope

  56. Man, I can honestly say that the original record was dope. I mean, the auto tune thing can only be used by a few people on a reg. basis. Diddler can have this one song for it.

Lupe mangles this like Kurt Angle rookie year, btw. Lupe = GOAT. I can say that easily.

  57. damnnn i almost forgot how serious lupe’s word play is

  58. i do however need an unedited version of the pic up top. cuz right now dude look like he in tights and a mid thigh length fashion coat. if that’s what it really is jus don’t give me an unedited version.

  59. Okay for real… this SONG is horrible. Someone cut out everything but Lu’s verses… not even downloading this bullshit…

  60. LUPE! Can’t wait till thursday. Good Food + The Ninja Assassin Movie + A New Lupe Mixtape = One GREAT Thanksgiving

  61. i honestly think rae’s version is better.

  62. wtf is up with diddy and this dirty money act? on some wannabe 808 & heartbreak bootleg shit. someone keep this no talent cornball from a microphone plz

…anyways i cant wait for thanksgiving. Lu needs to takeover the game already and flood the streets with new material

  63. @truth me too…Lupe is tryin too hard to sound more intellingent and different then the rest. Prefer creative wordplay and flow that is down to earth like Biggie’s or Andre 3000…that is real skill

  64. WOW. that is all.

  65. LMFAO lupe tryin too hard?? WTF get the fuck outta here!!

  66. LUPE >YOUR MOMS COOKING

  67. ^ … or you could put it that way, haha. Lupe went in ridiculous, mad disasterous if you ask me.

  68. Yea ur an idiot if u say he’s trying too hard..he’s been doin this since b4 his first album

Aint like his shit don’t flow or his multi-syllable wordplay is forced or something like some of Wale’s verses

    He’s just a intelligent rapper

Matter fact Lupe got verses that flow so smooth that u barely even pay attention to what he’s sayin then when u see what he’s sayin ur like oh shit

    Lupe’s flow > Lil Wayne’s flow

  69. If it was just the beat + MC without the ridiculously long into, outro, and incredibly wack Diddy + Autotune, I suppose it would have replay value.

Not sure what the hype is all about with ‘Dirty Money’ – regardless of who drops a verse on it. And sure, Lupe is dope and all, but all the dickriding is getting out of hand.

  70. Lupe > Your mom

  71. Jonnie Hayward The IV – you better be on Lupe’s payroll. SMH.

  72. @ grap
so suck on a grap(e) snapple

    FNF UP

  73. your right it didnt leak because its in my itunes which came from my gmail. You can get hydrated and pass out.

  74. LOL NVM

  75. @ That_Josh

    Post a link then

  76. Lupe’s good, but god DAMN he’s got alotta Stans up here!

  77. post that link josh

  78. and lol at h. bomb you right though

  79. Lupe = the voice of this generation

  80. Lupe Fiasco should never be left out of a top 3. And let’s stop comparing him to rappers who are completely different.

He doesn’t rap about selling drugs, killing people, or being ignorant! He is about metaphors, wordplay, intelligence, and commence.

Is it me? Or are the two best rappers complete polar opposites….the two being Eminem & Lupe (edge Lupe right now)

  81. Illuminati > Lupe

    Perfectibilists

    This song is dope though

  82. this shudda bin the OFFICIAL version

who the fuk is notorious big?

    lol

  83. That Josh < A puked on Turd

  84. DIDDY LESS VERSION

    http://www.zshare.net/audio/6891538336551bef/

  85. also @rambo you are an idiot u and all of the other idiots that say and im being serious

  86. in the words of @diji woah woah woah T-Dot lets not get ahead of are self. BIG wordplay was crazy. But Fiasco is the top right now off 2 verses.I dare somebody to say different

  87. JAMMIN im defending Lupe you fuckin asshole!!

    FNF UP tho!!!!!

    EDIT: LOL NVM

  88. can someone post another link with just lupe’s verses?? that zshare link didn’t work for me and i need this track, without diddy

  89. @calebbbb ok ill up it on ushershare cause zshare sucks

  90. here you go 2dopeboyz and girls

    DIDDY LESS VERSION

    http://usershare.net/8cbl21luad2w

  91. Is there a tracklist for LASERS? Anything to give us hope that it will get released anytime soon?

If Lupe is going to go down as the greatest (which he can) he needs to put the albums out faster. But I do respect the fact the he values his music enough not to ever put out any garbage like so many artists

  92. Props to Lasean.

  93. Conspiracy Of Mind ft. Chino XL – Sabotage

    http://usershare.net/e0qfbuaq4vnr

  94. yea props to lasean, fuck diddy and his makin the band dropout.

  95. wow. “this man gets better with time just like wine.” – Big Sean

  96. Fuck the food, I got lupe for Thanksgiving

  97. NICE PIC SHAKE

  98. man i wanna hear him and Jay Electronica on the same song

  99. It takes a special breed of hip hop fans to actually OVERHYPE someone as amazing as Lupe Fiasco. Lupe Fiasco fans can make Wacka Flocka seem like the next Tupac, Jay-Z, B.I.G. in one. Damn…

  100. honestly his lyrics go over 95% of peoples heads, including me. thats why i cant appreciate him like most of yall. and that is why i have never bought or listened to an entire lupe album

  101. shake= emotional fuck boi

  102. the last 3 comments were some of the funniest comments ive ever read on here.

  103. Now Lu tries too hard to sound intelligent? Did you listen to The Cool at all???

  104. WHERE IM FROM, lupe is ii but jay will forever be the only one to do this track justice. No if, ands or buts

  105. Fully comprehending Lupe’s lyrics is a fuckin challenge man but I love it. He’s the only rapper that I actually read the lyrics while I listen to the song so I can appreciate all of it. Clever lyrics wit a dope flow, fuckin nerd goes in.

  106. beat shoulda been better ,, when it does leak , it will be on this site first, or check mp3kingz for info

  107. Did someone just say that a special breed of Lupe fans can make Wocka Flaka out to be the next Pac??? Who the fuck Wocka Flaka???

  108. Exactly ^^ Leave it to Lupe Fiasco fans to make him seem legendary. Lupe is very dope, but some of his fans make him sound as if he’s God-like.

  109. Lmao @ the last two comments

  110. Lupe is gonna murder with the new mixtape. Hes getting back in his zone

  111. IM SORRY YALL I CANT VIBE TO THIS. LUPE JUST DONT CUT IT FOR ME . HE JUST DONT HAVE THAT VOICE AND ENERGY TO MAKE A GOOD SONG. WHAT I MEAN IS YOU CAN BE THE MOST LYRICAL PERSON IN THE WORLD BUT IF YOU JUST DONT HAVE THAT VOICE OR ENERGY TOWARD A SONG IT JUST DONT WORK OUT.EXAMPLE, BEYONCE HAVE THAT VOICE AND BODY PUT SHE DONT WRITE HER SONGS BUT SOMEBODY ELSE DO AND THEY DONT HAVE THAT VOICE AND BODY BUT THEY HAVE THAT PEN GAME DOWN PACK.

HIS VOICE DONT UPLIFT ME NO ENERGY TO GET ME CRUNK PUT BIGGIE BACK ON THE TRACK PLEASE PUFF

  112. I AINT SAYING SOMEBODY BEHIND HIS PEN GAME IM JUST SAYING HE NEED A VOICE TO SEPARATE HIM FROM THE PACK OF A MILLION RAPPERS THAT DONT HAVE THAT LEADER VOICE…….THEN WE CAN FOLLOW LUPE

  113. Goes over my head too sorry…I don’t believe the hype.

  114. and his flow and delivery make me sleepy…no hate different tastes I guess

  115. just finished the remix with lupe and raekwon with out the diddy hook, only at the end for the people who actually like that part
    http://www.mediafire.com/?3ojjkkmmehj

  116. They should call themselves “Diddy’s Money” and not “Dirty Money”.

  117. man all these comments on here…yall got me dying over here man…so many funny ass comments…example…”Lupe > Your Mom”…wtf yall be on?!?! lmao but back 2 da music…its was pretty cool…i thought lupe went in…i wouldve preferred not hearin diddy wack ass on da hook…like foreal if u gonna use autotune…please make that shit sound good…dat nigga dirty money *ehh dat name is so wack* sound like he under water talkin or sum shit

  118. this was dope lupe is back

  119. Would love to see some editing for a Raekwon, Lupe remix minus Ross. He’s turkey fat. Wholly discarded. Hell, wouldn’t mind a remix minus Dirty Money, just Rae & Lupe.

  120. @lil terry Nice work.

  121. Curtis Hampton and Rambo are fuckin faggots I swear deadazz!! Go listen to Adam Lambert or some other faggotry type shit!!

  122. @ Curtis Hampton & Rambo

Go read a book if his lyrics go over your head

And its fine if his voice don’t capture you as long as u don’t say he is wack..go listen to Drake who sounds like he still aint hit puberty or Weezy F Baby who sounds like he got mesothelioma when he raps or like he bout 2 start cryin or like he dying from all that syrrup he b sippin on

    Lupe > your life

  123. “Dead Wrong” would sound good over this beat

  124. Maybe its me. .. but I didnt find anything nice in this remix. =/.
still hoping for dopeness from the mixtape, but this didnt catch my attention

  125. this is on repeat

  126. okay yeah there are a few cats on lupe dicks. and there are also a few haters. i’ll just say this… without the risk of sounding like the stans and getting shitted on by the normal by-standers and haters. Those verses were honestly one of the best verses I’ve heard in a while from ANY emcee. Lupe is fucking nice, and I can’t wait for the mixtape, hopefully he’ll bring it back to the Fahrenheit 1/15 Vol. 2 shit. Lupe the Killer, killer, killer, killer!

    =P

  127. for those whom the song goes over their head here is some1s interpt that may make it easier for you to understand that Lupe doesn’t just rap non sense he has underlying meaning:

    http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/gowhere-hip-hop/2009/11/diddy-releases-angels-rmx-featuring-lupe-fiasco.html

  128. he killed it. obviously.

  129. don’t give a fuck about any of you braindead faggots who say people are dickriding lupe. unlike drake wayne or any of those other queers, lupe delivers high quality CONSISTENTLY. easily the best out in the game right now… EASILY.

  130. “knew she was new jersey, but said that she was anahiem”

wow i just caught this… fucking amazing. new jersey devil /anaheim angels.

  131. i never heard so many people say that something with over their heads. just google the lyrics and fucking learn something, is that too much to ask? its not THAT lyrical where it takes hours to breakdown.

hint: hes talking about angels. shocking? i know.

“knew she was new jersey, but said that she was anahiem”

wow i just caught this… fucking amazing. new jersey devil /anaheim angels
    ^^^
like that. word, that shit was fuckin slick.

  132. I can’t believe someone said Lupe’s voice ruins this for them Smfh…..That’s the most childish thing you could hear when it comes to music. A voice doesn’t make a song. Everybody has a different voice. Fuck what makes you crunk and what not. It’s all about the lyrics and delivery and Lupe brought that on this. Don’t like it, don’t waste your time. Stay with your dumbed down music, club music, fake gangster music, etc…..I’ll stick with this intelligent shit right here.

  133. used to whisper in my ear, but now she tryna [e]vander mine!

  134. [...] too 2dopeboyz for [...]

  135. [...] Seen at 2DopeBoyz [...]

  136. this is a Diddy track? Well in that class i’m glad Lupe salvaged this track. Sorry i’ve been listening to The Ecstatic as of recently

  137. the auto tune is annoying but once you’re able to break down the song you realize the chorus is a big part of the meaning of the song

  138. [...] Seen at 2DopeBoyz [...]

  139. I’m almost tired of posting comments on Lupe tracks because all of the comments tend to be redundant. They all sound something like, “this is fire”, “lupe is too sick”, etc. The man just kills everything he comes across. To get on topic though this is another hot track from Lupe that he puts to rest, so I hope no one else tries to rap over it. Diddy saved the best for last.
    Go Ill!

  140. i still fuckin hate how this beat is jacked from “Where I’m From”

  141. No more Talyor Gang or die…It’s offically “Lupe Fiasco or slit your fucking throat!”

  142. We’ll naturally start by analyzing the first verse where Lu paints a picture of the ‘angels’ he sees who take him for a ride in their Lamborghini. It begins…

“I see diamond flooded demons, Lamborghini angels,
Halos down wit the doors flappin’ when they came through,
Windows up, system bumpin’ you the one they sang to,
Same to who said they the ones you should send your thanks through,
Pockets full of blessings, they can sanctify and saint you
You can hear em rev-in up in heaven now, can’t you?”

Tibs’ interpretation: The ‘diamond flooded demons, Lamborghini angels’ line speaks to those out there obsessed with the diamonds (or money in general) and angels masked in/as Lamborghinis. Lupe continues the metaphor by saying that the angels are singing to ‘you’ (people, in general), that the angels can save you, and that you can hear the Lamborghinis rev-in’ – a direct allusion to angels up in heaven. The verse continues…

“Sandles made of chrome, his soul made of leather
An engine full of sinnin’ and candy painted feathers
The sound of the motor only rev-in, reverend you confess to
I see this all in the eyes of the girl I’m next to”

Tibs’ interpretation: Lupe continues his first-person narrative by seeing through the Lamborghini’s parts (angels) and by actually riding with a girl he’s next to (an angel). Finally…

“I asked her “where we goin?”, and she just told me pleasure
Hands on the wheel, and her heels on the accela-
rator, told her wait up, she kept goin’ like etcetra
But like a broken record, we’ve come to far to just wheel it back selector
So we gon’ ride foreva, foreva, foreva, foreva, foreva…”

Tibs’ interpretation: Lupe narrates a conversation between him and the angel behind the wheel of the Lamborghini. The angel vaguely, and when you hear it, seductively tells Lupe that she’s taking him to ‘pleasure’. The angel speeds and keeps goin’ (like what ‘etc.’ means – wonderful punchline) as Lupe then incorporates a broken record metaphor before exclaiming that this ride with the angel is ‘foreva’.

These set of lines reminded me of Lupe’s second verse on “Streets On Fire”, specifically the part where he says,

“My femme fatale, my darling fraudulent angel,
Once caught her changing her battery in her halo.
Receipt for her wings and everything that she paid for,
And the address to the factory where they made those..”

    - Lupe Fiasco “Streets On Fire”

In that song, Lupe portrays the angel as the seductive character of Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool: The Streets. On the “Angels RMX”, Lupe similarly portrays the angel as a seductress, promising pleasure and good fortune a la the character on the album.

The existing verses and hook of the original then ominously ring through the next minute or so and the listener can start to make connections to Lupe’s first verse, seen with these lines on the chorus,

“The angels are flying so low, singing to you.. (Don’t you hear them calling you?)
He’s the one you love (‘Cause I hear them callin’ me)”

Whoo, chilling. In comes the second verse…

“Said she was a fan of mine,
Knew she was New Jersey, but said that she was Anahiem,
Butterflies turn to suicides, now its phantoms flyin’”

Tibs’ interpretation: Once again, like The Streets in The Cool, the angel says she is a fan. The use of the word ‘fan’ subconsciously allows the listener to connect the next two allusions as Lupe refers to the New Jersey Devils (the hockey team) and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (the baseball team). Dope. That means that Lupe knew she was a devil but she said she was an angel. I interpreted the ‘butterflies turn to suicides’ part as the angel’s wings turning into the suicide doors of the Lamborghini. It may also signal that Lupe’s butterflies in his stomach are turning worse into suicides. The ‘now its phantoms flyin’” phrase adds a double meaning as Phantoms (the cars) flyin’ down the street and the literal phantoms (nightmares) image. The verse continues…

“Used to whisper in my ear, but now she tryna vandal mine,
And holy feelin’ (Holyfield) all gone, slowly feelin’ all wrong,
None of this is satisfyin’, pull it over, let me out, I’ll just hitch hike back to mine,
Nothing’s really as it seems, Yea I shoulda known that,
Thought I called a angel, devil’s had my phones tapped.”

Tibs’ interpretation: Now the angel has become a more aggressive seductress, perhaps sensing that Lupe notices the angel’s real intent. Lupe makes a subtle reference to the infamous Tyson-Holyfield incident where Tyson bit off a piece of Holyfield’s ear, which reflects the angel’s aggressiveness. At this point, Lupe conveys the ‘holy feelin’ all gone, slowly feelin’ all wrong’ meaning he fully realizes the big picture of what the angel is trying to do – corrupt him for her own benefit. This feeling leaves him unsatisfied and asks the angel to pull over (the Lamborghini) leading to the last line that brings the entire metaphor and song complete: ‘Thought I called a angel, devil’s had my phones tapped’.

That line alone can be interpreted in a few ways. In the story that Lupe tells, it simply punctuates his feeling that the devil interfered in Lupe’s calling for an angel. Those who believe in the devil’s presence also believe that the devil has an army of fallen angels, perhaps the literal angel that Lupe was experiencing. Furthermore, you can connect all this back to the lines I extracted from the chorus – once again below,

“The angels are flying so low, singing to you.. (Don’t you hear them calling you?)
He’s the one you love (‘Cause I hear them callin’ me)”

The fallen angels (them) fly so low (sent by the devil to manipulate people on earth), seductively singing to you, He’s the one you love… He = the devil. Even the iconic ‘if you don’t wanna stay, you can go’ line belted out in the chorus can also be directly connected to Lupe’s last verse.

Lastly, I’m speculative that the last line is a jab at the U.S. government, one that Lupe has historically lashed out against. Perhaps Lupe is labeling the government as the “devil” who had his phones tapped, like how the government taps phone calls as part of the Patriot Act.
