Relapse was fire. Definitely picking this up if there’s any copies left considering it’s dropping right there at Christmas. Guess Relapse 2 will drop in the spring along with Lasers and possibly Carter 4.

perhaps on some tracks, Dre can hold back an artist because you may not be able to rhyme a certain way over a selected track. You want to stay in line with the beat, even tho that isn’t what you may have envisioned. But it’s like, I’m on a Dre beat, I can’t turn this down. So you just take it for what it is.
Dre just hasn’t evolved.

No, cause they’re pretty much better than all of what’s out. Dre’s beats take someone (that someone is Em) with ACTUAL skill to make a track out of by taking the extra time out to decide how long the verses are gonna be, where the hook will be, what flow to use on each verse, etc…unlike today where you have these catchy beats where it’s obvious and much easier for the artist and most of the time the lyrics aren’t even paid any attention. Dre’s evolving. Updating his sound every year. He’s just not changing the formula of what producing was originally and A LOT of people fail to see that.
lol Dre hasn’t evolved…name another producer to stay relevant for as long as he has. His sound has evolved so much from his NWA days, to The Chronic, to 2001, to now. I will say his beats lately (especially on Relapse) lacked something. Like they sounded aight, but they weren’t Dre quality, they sounded like they came of soundclick from people trying to make “Dre type beats”. But I’m not gonna say he’s fallen off, he’s been too good for too long, I just feel like he might have got lazy.

Yeh this is just relapse 2 with a different name. Weak. I thought there would of been a complete new album instead of some :reloaded :refilled :re-whateva bullshit. Relapse two isn’t coming out, because his contract with Aftermath is only down for one more album… Unless he re-nogtiates with them, which I don’t think he’s gunna do considering 50 isn’t and he’s got that new horror film series to make and film… I hope I’m wrong.
