Don’t Quit Your Day Job w/ Drake (Audio) [2007]

Back in 2007 Drake called into Shade45 to talk with Angela Yee about Degrassi, Comeback Season, etc. They play Replacement Girl and City is Mine before having folks call up and question/comment. Shouts to RR on the liberation. It’s always dope to hear artists before they blow up. Dude sounds hella balanced in this.

  1. I didn’t know he did this in ’07, good shit. He hasn’t really changed much but I wish he would come back with Comeback Season era music

  2. comeback season was the first shit i listened to. i still dont know what they did on that cover, he look 40.

  3. This was around the time where I started listening to the homey.

I think that dude is still the dopest…he just needs to stay grounded and focus. Young Money wasn’t a good look for his musical integrity necessarily, but he still can be the keeper of his own destiny.

    Comeback Season = Classic

Let’s hope his debut album carries the same status.

“You that one who had got shot in that wheelchair right?”! LOL

Sidebar: Tell me when Bow Wow ever made a record as good as “Replacement Girl” (Well, I mean, I guess he did…I’m not even going to hate.)

    But I’m just saying.

“You putting your own little thing in there” <— PAUSE THAT

  4. man young money is gonna ruin drake i already see the effects i can careless about drake now

  5. It’s funny. Everyone sounds different before money.

  6. ahahahahahhahahaha I laughed so hard at the 10:30 mark when the guy is just like “Fuckin’ Drake…….”

  7. Damn. This is why I still got hope in dude.

  8. “Fuckin’ Drake.” hahaha. Well they were right about the hate eventually coming.

He sounds happy, Comeback Season had a lot of positive responses. Everythings all good. He has some personal problems going on, meets Wayne, makes So Far Gone which was also really good, blows up, joins Young Money, everyone hates him now.

  9. is it possible to download this? (not gonna listen now/will later)
