He was referring to the make-up that they put on you when you take professional photos for a magazine, coz for those who don’t know how Hollywood works, when celebrities (even male celebrities) go on TV or they take professional photos for magazines and what not, they powder your face up so your skin doesn’t look oiley, and they may add make-up to even out your complexion and to cover up pimples, blemishes, blackheads, etc.
