  1. Thats the only way i would see Drake cause i ‘m not going too a lil wayne concert

  2. This is epic, classic footage. It was dope that Jay was hypemaning for him, but it was almost like he should have just been quiet, cuz “Successful” is that type of joint that’s slower and really needs to keep it’s mood and what not. I’m not complaining though. I’m glad Drake has returned to the stage. I hope to see him live real soon here.

  4. I saw the Blueprint 3 tour in RI last week, and it was NASTY. Wale killed it, J Cole got like three tracks but he still killed it. NERD was good. Hov brought the house down. Best concert i’ve ever been to, hands down.

  5. And you can tell were Drizzy gets his on stage swag from….tsk. but good thing overall…HOV and Drake on stage at the same time…who would’ve known…

  6. Yeah…he’s emulated Jay-Z for the longest, even before he ever was signed to Young Money and what not.

He’s been a fan. I remember in 2007 he really was trying to get signed to Roc-A-Fella and he really had a Jay-like candor to his music and show:

  7. thats a good look for drizzy

  8. Drake is too nice, BUT dude needs to get some new moves hahaha

Homie does the same thing in the Forever video lol

  9. I went to the show last night. It was CRAZY! It was so funny though cuz i called drake being there since my buddy went to the raps game earlier in the week and said he saw Drake.

  10. Jay’s a dope ass hype man lol

  11. i hate drake’s hand gestures. He’s like a bird flapping his wings.

  12. Drake is corny.

  13. The way he did Star is Born with just the piano, was amazing, an mp3 of that would awesome

  14. YES last night was crazzzzzzzzzzzy!!!!!!!! wale jcole all of them killed it!

  15. I can’t wait for someone to test this lil fruitcake drake! For real, A real MC needs to test him and see what he got, than we’ll know if this kid is worth anything!

  16. how you gonna test him? he never talks shit about anybody .. whoever tries to “test” him first is gonna look like a jealous hating ass bitch so he would win regardless

  17. Too bad I found this to be least interesting of the concert. In a big arena, this song doesn’t go.

  18. The type of success that Drake is having is exactly what Jay-Z wants from J Cole. And Successful record is more appropriate for smaller venues not for arenas except if Drake was headlining and had all of the theatrics going on.

  19. “The way he did Star is Born with just the piano, was amazing, an mp3 of that would awesome.”

^^Agreed. Not to mention the reworked chorus.

  20. holy i was there too i didnt know so much people from toronto visited this site

  21. JCole and Wale killed it, so did that girl Rhea from NERD. And I hoped Drake would be there, since it’s his home town, but I was still surprised.. the concert was SICKK

  22. ziggy, thats a negative.

One of the roots of hip hop is the lyrical competition. Nobody would be hating if they just simply challenged him to a battle. The problem is too many of these niggas out here would just take it as a shot to their manhood…Lets just wait & see how he would react to an established lyricist (i.e. Cassidy, Saigon, Joell or to a lesser extent, Murda Mook, Serius Jones, etc.) comin at em on some “Lets just see how nice you are?” type shit.

Dont get mad. ya boy was reading his rhymes off a Blackberry whie he was on the radio, that is some real bullshit!

  23. Nobody but lame people are still on that “Let’s see how nice you really are ish.”.

It’s about making records and making songs. That’s why most of those SMACK DVD rappers never make it. “Oh, so you can freestyle or challenge cats in the battle rap world?”

    So what?

    Make a good album.

  24. Mike, if you went on a radio show, which u probably have or will soon, would u bring ya rhyme book or read em off ya bb?

  25. lol good question

  26. I’ve been on a couple and no, I haven’t. LOL. If I rapped something, I can truly say it was either off the dome or at least a free verse I had in my head. A lot of rappers don’t necessarily “Freestyle” EVERY time, but they at least have some verse in their mind they can just spit, even if they thought of them before hand . I think Drake could have been fine if he just did that without the BlackBerry. But maybe he’s not really comfortable with just freestyling. You really do have to be in a certain mindset to not worry about messing up and just black out and go in like how Kid Cudi or Asher Roth have recently.

I can’t deny that the blackberry thing wasn’t a good look. Drake should have thought about that before hand.

  27. yo I hit this concert up too, shit was CRAZY. Best concert I ever been to in my life, the crowd lost it when Drake came out too. From hit to hit to hit to hit, this concert was an epic experience, and the energy in ACC was crazy. T-Dot standup!
