The whole Roc says no to the beat. Joe hears it and blazes the shit and asks you to participate in a remix which you slyly say no to but get on the track anyway after the fact because you realize you slipped on the beat !! Fucked up.

Joey baited Joe Camel and his grimey ass and Joey came out on top on this one. He asked Jay to be on the beat, Jay said no. Jay jacks the beat. Joey comes back and “rejacks” the beat and outdoes Jay on it. Now, Jay is backed into a corner. Win win for Joey. Either Jay comes back and answers to Joey which will give Joey notoriety, or he doesn’t say anything to avoid giving Joey steams. Smart play by Joey. This shit is chess, not checkers.

That stream was dope. He went through the whole history of that Pump It Up beat. I agree that Budden (no S) hurt Jay when he came back on that beat. From then on, Jay didn’t fuck with Joey. I gotta say thank you though cuz if he did, there might not have been Slaughterhouse or any Mood Musiks.
