Pac died in 1996. Drake wasn’t old enough to appreciate Pac’s music when he was ALIVE. Drake is only 22. Do you think a 9 year old can REALLY appreciate Tupac at that time?

People over exaggerate lines too much. I knew he didn’t diss Pac cause it didn’t even sound like a diss. How someone could think that is beyond me. All he said was say that he didn’t cry when Pac died, but he probably will when Hov does.

You can’t even compare Hov to Pac, they made totally different types of music, came from totally different areas, its a straight pointless comparison. jus enjoy both of em, and dont hold your breath on any one else that motivational and talented to come around soon. Two of the greatest to pick up a mic.

i was explaining the fact that Pac’s career ended when Jay’s started, which pretty much explains why Drake is more of a Hov fan than a Pac fan…he apparently grew up listenin to Hov

I can understand that Sargent Slaughter. I feel you. But don’t count new music out man. Just because there is people talking about chains and fly kicks, there are still substance based rappers out here. We might have missed out on experiencing Pac, but there are still rappers we do get to experience who are still bringing substance (Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, J. Cole, etc). Every generation will have their lyricists and every generation will have their commercialized, money-hungry, no talent hacks. Now Jay-Z certainly doesn’t fall in that category, because I think he is the most talented rappers who ever touched the mic (Yes, even over Rakim. Blasphemy right? Hey, what can ya do? LOL.) I think he’s rode the fence well. There is nothing wrong with talking about having material things as long as there is a balance.
