WalkTheseStreets Cover Art

New Rakim for y’all stanking asses. Is it me, or did a certain good doctor produce this for him? SHAKE UPDATE: The production is Needlz’ doing, and the hook is provided by Tracey Horton. Great track all around.

  3. ^what?…very nice stuff

  4. this is DOPE!

is it just me or did maino remind me of 2pac on this track? haha

  5. aahhhhh shit

  6. FUCKIN FIRE.

  7. o shit.

  8. i dont think it is dre. if it is im surpised.

  9. i didnt see any dre credits when the prod credits leaked

  10. dope tune. but its a needlz beat.

  11. Rakim and Maino this is sick Maino may not b the best lyricist but he speaks on real shit

  12. I think Neddlez is the credited Prod for this track

  13. kinda going away from this because it has maino but fuck it i’ll listen

  14. skippin to only hear rakim less maino’s ass be on the hook

  15. *jaw drops*

  16. this sounds nothin like dre lol its def needlz

  17. maino is sick on this.

  18. just heard rakims verses and the hook it’s not bad kinda wish rakim wouldn’t start on the “haters” bullshit for his new album. looking forward to the seventh seal tho

  19. No, it’s not the Doctor, but it’s still D-R-E

  20. This went hard imo

  21. ‘I Walk These Streets’ (produced by Needlz): Probably the album’s clanger, not so much because Needlz’s beat uses either the same or a startlingly similar sample to Busta Rhymes’s ‘Been Through The Storm’, but because the inclusion of Akon on the hook – and maybe the second verse – just doesn’t seem to make any sense, stylistically or in terms of the end product. Possible addition: Maino may be drafted in to spit 16 bars on the second verse if Akon can’t send over his vocals in time.

  22. Shocked to see maino on it.

  23. Ugh…

Rakim should just rhyme to drum breaks.

    By himself.

  24. ^^^^ agreeeeed…..still top 5 d.o.a. though……right under pac.

  25. Is it just me, or does Rakim’s voice sound a little higher? where is the raspy, grimey voice? and whats with fruity hooks these days?

  26. nah i can def see why you would think dre would have a hand in this beat

  27. I think Maino deserves more credit. I agree, he’s by no means a great lyricist or even a big hitmaker, but he gets it done and there is something real about him that I just don’t get from any of these other hood rappers

  28. The track was decent, not that great, but I do agree Rakims voice didnt really sound like it normally does

  29. “lyrical murderer blame Rakim,
im a sniper shootin my way into ya lame top 10,
pistol at yo head if i aint next to eminem,
then i bust in yo face like im fuckin little kim..”

  30. [...] was caught over at 2DopeBoyz, who say: The production is Needlz’ doing, and the hook is provided by Tracey Horton. Great track [...]

  31. this just made me a rakim fan

  32. this for all the maino haters…obviously he a real nigga rakim givin him the stamp…stop hating u no-taste having fruitcakes

  33. Everyone’s always a “fruitcake” with this fulltimeboss guy. Song is dope, BTW, & I don’t like Maino, either.

  34. “this just made me a rakim fan”

    better late than never.

  35. maino went in.

  36. Rakim the god mc, how can you not be a fan?

    dope shit.

  37. haha second that shake comment…

” “this just made me a rakim fan”

    better late than never. “

  38. LOL @ just becoming a Rakim fan. That’s cute.

That being said, I like it. Not blown away by it…but it’s making me hungry for the album.

  39. Dope track!

Rakim the God MC, one of the greatest to do it.

  40. mannnnn, 7th seal is gunna be some dopeness. rakim allah!

  41. lol if this makes u become a rakim fan you should check his actual good music..

  42. [...] This crack right here was supplied by Shake & Meka over @ 2Dopeboyz [...]

  43. i thought it was ok. i’m expecting better, from the album, really. i want to hear more intricate rhyme schemes, a la “LYRICS OF FURY”.

  44. Is there ever a trackk, that the kid from Bed Sty put out that doesnt bang. Not sure who the other dood is, but Maino brings the H.E.A.T..

Anyone else get a chance to listen to Maino’s recent mixtape….cuz its Fyre

  45. This record is cool. I mean, it has a little more polish than the “Holy Are You” joint and hopefully it will bring more people out to support the album that otherwise wouldn’t. Ra’s performance at A3C was really dope, too. Thanks and GOD BLESS. Peace

  46. [...] Rakim Readies the 7th Letter By GrahamCEO Leave a Comment Categories: Hip Hop and Music Tags: Maino, Needlz, Rakim Rakim gets Maino on this track supposedly off of his upcoming offering, The 7th Letter. Needlz on the production and (what’s a?) Tracey Horton on the hook. I like what I’ve heard from this so far, although I always feel like Rakim should’ve put out that album with Dre. [spotted at 2dope] [...]

  47. Damn, this bangs just as much as that Holy Are You track. 2 for 2 in the very hot songs department for this album, the God MC has truly returned. Whoever made the comment up there about Rakim’s voice, yeahh it sounds considerably higher on this track, it took me a moment to even realise it was him rhyming.

  48. Beat is sick
