  2. I’m not a 50 fan but he should be higher on the list, I would put him at #6 off the strength of his past 2 mixtapes. He’s not top 5 because although he’s had a lot of street hits he has not had a solo billboard hit this year so he has to lose major points for that.

He dropped 2 dope mixtapes, 1 million youtube hits which means he still has buzz and a good following and the many intangibles like the book, movies, cologne etc…50 still has a firm grip on the game whether you like it or not. Get real with yourself…Raekwon did not win over any new fans with OBCL2..the 65k people who bought it own the first album. Rae is great but nobody is going to give a fuck about him a year from now..he played off the strength of the title of his first album…calling it obcl PART 2 puts this picture in peoples head thats it going to be along the same lines as obcl. example- Don’t you think there would be more anticipation for a Nas album if he called it Illmatic 2? Gucci man will probably make this…hes total garbage and should have never picked up a mic…but whether you like it or not, he has a buzz and a following..and that speaks for itself. Just because a rapper can rap his ass off doesnt mean he should be on the list…alot of other things make you “hot”

    The only reason Raekwon is up there is because he dropped the OB4CL2 album…

    Then you got them arguing that 50 shouldnt be up there because he hasnt dropped an album…recently….ok…In that case it doesnt make any sense for neither one to be up there, because if the arguement is consistency with ALBUMS…let me repeat that….ALBUMS… then 50 shouldnt be up there and neither should Raekwon….Was there this much hype for Raekwons last album? NO….1 album shouldnt through you on some hottest MC list and neither should 0. IF thats the arguement in which dumb ass with glasses in the video was trying to say..

A better system on ranking needs to be put in place…because you have all these “hip hop is dead” “I listen to real music” heads talking about lyrics….No its more than just lyrics that Make an MC an MC….Until we get some universal CORE understanding on a set of rules to make a list all of the list in the future will continue to be disregarded as trash.

  23. I thought this was the hottest mc’s as in the best people to ever pick up the mic not what mc’s are cool at the moment. 50 has not made one song that has had any relevance to me. If were talking straight mc’s I need some Blu, Lupe, Doom, and rappers that actually make a difference in hiphop not who can make subpar music and sell it because of their business tactics.

  45. I know that 50 cent is way better than everyone on the list except for Eminem. I have seen alot of growth in him. Just because his music isn’t played on the radio doesn’t mean that it isn’t good music. Look at all the songs Llody Banks makes. There isn’t really anyone on the list the can out rap Llody never less 50 cent. Most of these guys can’t even perform the songs they made. G-Unit always have great concerts. 50 can perform every song he wrote. I am very disappointed at the choice of music out there today. I have 4 grown children and I can’t say that I have been impressed with any artist more than 50 cent. Before people say he doesn’t have any songs look him up on Youtube. Go to his website and download his cd’s. G-unit has lots of songs out there. He had to take back seat to Eminem this year that’s why he’s been doing mixtapes. He’s so creative that he makes more music than Interscope can put out. I didn’t even know he had so many new songs because theyre not played on the radio. Bsfore you judge him go check out his concerts and videos on Youtube.
