After hearing some of Eminem’s newer material, DJ Whoo Kid tells MTV that the Eminem from back in the day has returned.
“The comeback is crazy,” Whoo Kid said about Em’s return in May with Relapse. “What I really laughed at was the Mariah Carey [dis record]. That was funny. But that’s nothing compared to Relapse 2. What I heard, that’s just 2 percent [of the intensity]. Eminem from back in the day has returned. The crazy, lyrical, maniacal Eminem is back. Maniac!”
Whoo Kid said the difference between Relapse and Relapse 2 is the level of insanity.
“He was maniacal, but that was like, ‘Let me come back now. Let me get my sh– situated. Who I gotta go at? Let me see what’s going on. Let me get comfortable.’ Now that he’s comfortable, now he’s gonna be like [a monster] in Relapse 2. Good luck, people.”

well i personally wasn’t too impressed with relapse. It was ok but it certainly wasn’t anywhere near as good as his old stuff. The best thing I heard from Em recently was the Mariah diss track so it’s clear he’s still got it. Let’s hope relapse 2 is an improvement on the 1st one.

dying to hear this new shit. i think one of the things that will matter most is whether or not em will get weird again (too much gay rape shit in relapse). but i’m psyched for this album – have a real good feeling about it. let the leaks begin.

Yeah people were talking up Relapse 1 a whole lot too, saying it was Eminems best shit ever. And for the most part it sucked. Hearing Eminems tim westwood freestyle gives me hope that the old em really is coming back.

I want to believe this but two things are stopping me… 1: Royce said Relapse to Eminem is what the Black Album (I forgot which classic album for sure) is to Jay-Z and 2: DJ Whoo Kid has less credibility to me than a blogger’s opinion.

I ain’t saying Relapse was his best shit but certainly better than Encore. By a long shot. Dude made up for that shit. And as bad as the industry is I ain’t mind listening to Relapse considering I cut back on how many people I listen to. Now Relapse 2, The Warning was fucking crazy. I got a feeling the 1st single is gonna drop soon.

Some of ya’ll make me laugh! How can u say u hate Relapse but like his diss to Mariah? He sounds exactly the same, infact there were so many better tracks on Relapse than “Warning”. Lyrically he smashed it on Relapse, could of done without the accent tho, but that weren’t really a big problem. The Horrorcore fans felt it, the rest of ya’ll crunk loving, party type rap fans couldn’t stand it! Lets bring skills back, Relapse 2′s gonna be sick!!!
