Obama’s Remarks On Kanye’s VMA Incident (Audio)

I’m sure he’s gonna catch all kinds of hell for this (as he’s caught it for damn near everything else as of late), but you know what? One man’s opinion is just that, no matter who he is. Plus, I think we can all agree that the whole ordeal was just insane to begin with. SHAKE UPDATE: And this is all pretty much over already. Kanye apologized on Leno, Taylor spoke on it during The View, and lastly Ye called Ms. Swift on the phone and apologize personally.

  1. FOX news is gonna love this

  2. what he said was the truth….Kayne did act like jackass…shit he went lite!! atleast our Pres. is up on our culture

  3. hahahahahahahahilarious

  4. Fox news is gonna cherish this bill o Riley especially. oops… cant forget Glen Beck

  5. How come Kanye is getting more heat then that Politician? This wont effect my outlook on him, because I really don’t give a fuck about what any Musician does outside of music.

Unless it’s really funny. Like when he jumped on stage. Everything past that is making it soooo extra.

  6. Even the president thinks you’re a jackass. Fall back Kanye.

  7. now thats funny! call em how u see him prez!

  8. Maybe the president should think more about what is going on in Afghanistan where lots of troops and civillians are getting killed on a daily basis. Rather than commenting on what goes on at the Video Music awards between a load of overhyped celebs…

  9. ^ The question was asked to him. It wasn’t as if he said, “Before I get to your questions, I have to speak on this whole Kanye VMA thing.”

  10. To think somebody as important as the president has time to talk about this just proves how much time is being waisted, who gives a fuck what happened at the awards? Its a movie, movies dont end the same way. But this president here is life and hes out talking about this stupid shit are you serious

  11. Fucking people and their conversations. He’s the president what right does he have to talk to people about everyday things before an interview. Looks like he’s the real jackass……..

  12. you guys talking about the president and his order of worries – give me a fucking break. they asked him about it and he responded. he doesn’t duck questions, but its not like this was some 8PM news conference, it was an off-the-record moment that we truthfully shouldn’t know about to begin with.

    get over it.

  13. lol @ everyone on here. I guess we shouldn’t let him eat or shit either. I mean he has all this important stuff to do in the country. Hell don’t let Obama do anything unless it involved politics right? Damn you mother fuckers are dumb. he got asked a question he answered it. Bush was on vacation 24/7 while he was in office…. Katrina happened and where was Bush the week following, on vaca. Fall back all you fucking haters!

  14. cosign derrik, khal, and the only time …
he’s not hosting a fucking board meeting about what kanye said. imagine you at your job being asked a question. damn, why answer that when you can get back to flipping burgers for the thousands of hungry people? fuck you doin? chill out.

  15. Even without the president’s opinion I think this has been blown out of proportion, Kanye’s human we all make mistake’s albeit he makes more than others, just move on. Take time and reflect then move on you know how much bs Kanye/Taylor reactions there are online smh people should just relax..you can either laugh/be shocked at the moment then change the channel ‘nough said lol

  16. The truth of the matter is, if someone like Bush was caught saying that you guys would be in a uproar–but since it was Obama it’s perfectly okay? FUCK OUTTA HERE! What kind of double-standard is that? Ya’ll are funny man.

  17. [...] Obama’s Remarks On Kanye’s VMA Incident (Audio) [via Shake of 2DBz] [...]

  18. Obama knows what he said was wrong. He told the reporters to “cut him some slack” as in don’t blow this up. Too late!

  19. The country is in a depression (no, not a recession) and Obama has time to comment on this…and his Harvard pal’s arrest when there are thousands of arrests daily that go unmentioned…but doesn’t say shit about Van Jones or ACORN??? Wonder why…must hit a little to close to home for him. (If you don’t know about ACORN yet, educate yourself.)

  20. …the fuck? He has time to respond to foolishness but when Chris Brown commits battery, he’s no where to be found?

  21. ^^^^^^^^^ The fuck? He’s being interviewed!!!!!!!!!!!!! You want the president to speak on everything that celebs do?

  22. [...] 2DopeBoyz No Comments so [...]

  23. Here’s the point. Whether he was asked or offered his opinion is besides the point. Barack Obama is got damn life politician and law school graduate. In other words, a liar (j/k)…I mean, in other words, a professional at avoiding answering questions he doesn’t want to answer…especially pointless Mickey Mouse shit like this. Now, call me crazy, but you’d think Obama would be smart enough to set himself up like this, right…so that only leads me to believe he commented on purpose as another diversion to take focus off the ‘Change’ he promised everyone and everything else that’s falling apart for him. Impossible? I think not. Damn, I done pissed off the Obama worshippers now.

  24. It’s the biggest diss by far! I doubt anyone can really argue with the president’s comment. Kanye was a complete jackass and we all know it. One thing, however, that gets on my nerves is the fact that it was suppose to be off-the-record. But ABC’s Terry Moran went ahead & posted it on his twitter account. He tried to delete the post not long after, but the msg was already sent out to his million-plus followers. Nonetheless, Obama said nothing wrong and I agree with him 100 percent.

  25. you are some crazy people. let the man live. being president doesn’t mean you are not allowed to discuss anything other than politics.

  26. He’s the President, he can avoid what he wants when he wants but the glaring fact is the importance of the both situations, Chris Brown beat Rihanna in, the guy didn’t have a statement. Kanye West upstaging a pop singer and he’s in the news calling him a jackass? I think I would like his opinion on Chris Brown cause that impacted the public more.

  27. he didnt give a statement here either. he probably did talk about chris brown, it just wasnt recorded. why would he avoid a question before an interview even started. he probably enjoys getting the time to talk about other things.

  28. Kanye’s human

no shit we’re all human SMH plus he’s being asked the question takes like 20 seconds the damn wars still gonna go on even if he didn’t get asked this question looks like the fox new pshycos have infiltrated 2DBZ

Maybe the president should think more about what is going on in Afghanistan where lots of troops and civillians are getting killed on a daily basis. J-Serious said this on September 15th, 2009 at 11:44 am

only like 2 troops on average get killed maybe in a day, civilians in the hundreds a day. it’s just a damn question that they asking not like obama can say wait let me freeze time so no troops die during this question

  29. *fox news

  30. this wasn’t part of the interview. someone just had the recorder going in a casual conversation. if bush said it too, i wouldn’t give a fuck. he even says he’s got bigger things on his plate. the clip was 2 minutes long and all he did was make a statement. blowing it out of proportion because the man made a statement other than something about how to change the world.

  31. dude can’t take a breath without you bitches on his back about not being a president. get into the white house yourself if you’re gonna be bitching so much and you can do a better job.

  32. wow there are so many idiots in here..jus cuz dude is president doesnt mean he cant take 10 seconds out of his life to speak on whatever he wants….u guys are moronic in the mildest sense of the word…anyone seriously trying to shit on obama right now must be a little kid

  33. Cause he’s the pres he’s not human? He can’t watch sports or comment on pop culture? I thought this was the US.

  34. Kanye West was just dropped from Rockafella Records after the “Jackass Move” at the VMA’s. Jay-Z later commented “Kanye needs to worry about his own girl and back up off mine” We will have more infromation as the story unfolds. youtube.com/honkytonkkids

  35. I have a dream… That we all give a shit less about what celebrities think and do.

  36. ya’ll are MADD stupid. obama was ASKED the question, first of all. i agree with fulltime and marlymarr. stop trying to be politically correct and try to get on your underground rap fuck the government bullshit and try to be intellectual by saying “oh, he’s the president, he can be spending all this time saving the country but hes making remarks towards kanye”

ya’ll look REAL stupid right now.

  37. I have a dream… That we all give a shit less about what celebrities think and do.

    would never ever happen…………………………….ever

  38. When Obama does Kanye numbers and has anywhere near as much success as the President as Kanye has as an entrepreneur, lyricist, producer, and other things, then I’ll listen to his opinion about ENTERTAINMENT, or anything that is related to it, until then he needs to keep his nose out of other people’s business unless it involves politics, which is what he’s supposed to be involved in unless talking about some bullshit that happened at a bogus ass awards show is what’s going to get this nation ahead, then I guess we all need to go ahead and apply for jobs at TMZ, concreteloop, mediatakeout, and other half assed gossip publications…. I’m only being honest.

  39. [...] I was actually chilling with Meka’s roomate waiting for Bill to say something about Obama’s “jackass” statement, but nothing came (yet). You knew O’Reilly would just at the chance to talk about Taylor-gate [...]
