I honestly don’t understand what O’Reilly or Beck said was “racist” as some of you contend. Beck, if you ever watch his show, brings humor many times into his discussions. Him saying that he was in the “in crowd” of hip hop was more or less poking fun at himself. So why is he “racist” for that? and O’Reilly, I agree, is out of touch with Hip Hop. Then again, it seemed like, in this instance, he was giving Jay-Z a fair shot: he discussed what he believed to be absurb lyrics from Hov, but applauded him for helping the police and firefighters of 9/11. Jay-Z is the one who brought race into it by talking about “white lies,” etc. O’Reilly or Beck never mentioned race once. Interesting.
The lyric in Jay’s song makes perfect fucking sense if you have a brain in your head.

Was it wrong what Kanye did? Of course it was… but was he lying? No. When Taylor Swift won, I thought to myself “How the hell did she beat Beyonce’s joint?” I think his thoughts could of been saved for a later time, like a magazine or just his blog. In retrospect, if Beyonce won Best Video of the Year and she’s a female… wouldn’t that mean she would take home Female Video of the Year? I don’t know how MTV judeges who gets what, but Beyonce’s Video definitely trumped all the other videos including Taylor Swift’s. But Should Kanye have done that…. absolutely not, henny or not. Really good gesture for Beyonce to give Taylor her moment and made everything come full circle.
