Blueprint 3 hasn’t even hit stores yet, and Jay-Z told us [MTV] he’s already working on his next album, which will be his most eclectic piece ever.
“I’ve always said I believe in good music and bad music. … I like music. The second Blueprint, the reason it was all over the place is because I like music so much. You have tracks with Lenny Kravitz then Sean Paul. Dr. Dre. It’s all over the place because of my taste in music. I like music.”
“My next album, which I’m working on now — that’s exclusive, no one knows that — is gonna be the album that really … it’s not gonna be a #1 album. That’s where I’m at right now. I wanna make the most experimental album I ever made. But let’s not deal with that now; I want to deal with The Blueprint 3.”

last time he said that his next album wasn’t going to be a #1 album he gave us American Gangster which was pretty dope so let’s keep our fingers crossed
glad to hear it. hopefully more of jay, of eminem, of a re-emerging of outkast, ludacris, 50, snoop, and maybe even dmx, the hip hop of the late 90′s early 2000′s can come back and take down the relentless onslaught of D level acts that will remain nameless so i dont start a war of words

i bet its gonna be on some indie rock shit. i saw an interview recently where he said he liked indie rock right now and how it inspired him. maybe his track with MGMT will be on it.
thats cuz indie rock can speak a different way,say different things and express different feelings that a lot of hip hop can not. there’s nothing wrong with being eclectic and branching out into different worlds. if you need examples of bands, i’d be glad to provide
