Was definitely made to be listened to as an album rather than individual tracks. Lyrics aren’t that bad but the production lets it down.
People be callin OB4CL2 a classic cause there hasnt been anything like this out since the old classics. Im not sayin that there aint no good music comin out anymore, im saying there aint classics comin out anymore.But this is a piece of art 4 real…I know a classic when i hear one. Since dudes comparin Linx2 to BP3, I wanna say listenin to the 1st Linx in ’96 made me not really get into Reasonable Doubt. Other dudes in my family and round the way was jammin that record and Ive heard it but it was a step down from RZA’s beats and Rae and Ghost’s shit so now when plenty of heads is glorifyin Jay, I cant help think back to comparin the original Cuban Linx to Jay’s debut and sayin he was weaker than Rae then and he’s weaker today!

Anyone wanna tell me why we talkin’ bout BP3 on this page. For real, these albums aint got shit to do with each other cept they comin out three days from each other, they nothin alike and both dope in they own right. For me, OB4CL2 is the album of the year, after two listens. Jay’s took a few listens but it’s grown on me and it’s real likeable. It ain’t gotta be one or the other, alls I know is I’m coppin and supporting two legends sept 8th and 11th respectively, and I hope y’all do the same.

I’m sure I’ll stop exaggerating after a few more listens, and some reviews get published etc., but right now, this sounds like one of the best hip-hop albums in years. There’s 21 proper tracks, and on first impression, only around 3 have any dip in quality from the rest. Anyone wanna name a track they think is weak?
I agree that a “classic” album is a timeless piece of art… at the same time when u listen to an album and the vibe of the album gives u the chills from the beats, the rhymes, the whole package… than its a classic! And this album is that! I will be bumpin this next year, 3 years from now & 10 years from now!
