In his trademark style, The Illz shows his vulnerability and hurt from the loss of his father and fellow hip-hop artist D Mobb. He talks directly to his fallen peers, expressing the regret in things left unsaid and his current state of life, in their absence. The emotion in ILLZ’ verses makes us feel as if we knew these two people that were so important to him.
