  6. Most underrated and underappreciated MC of all time. I never even heard of L until way after he passed. First time I heard him, I knew he was ill. The more I heard, the more I wanted to hear. Now he’s easily one of my top 5 favourites of all time. I used to host a college radio show and I changed the name to Diggin’ In The Crates after a while and always made a point to play at least one Big L song.

    To me, L was the best when it came to the rewind factor. No MC has ever made me say “wow, I can’t believe he just said that shit” more than him. He has some of the craziest and best lines in hip hop history. Definitely doesn’t get his proper respects, but he never really got much of a push either.

    Even if Big & Pac were are superstars, why can’t they be compared to him? They’re rappers, people like to talk about who was the better lyricist.

  16. @Huh, you’re wrong if you think his 2 albums are the only material he has that’s been released though, there’s some DITC tracks he did back when Fat Joe was good, of course there’s other freestyles, other joints he did with A.G, Royal Flush, Shyheim etc. Just gotta know where the look.
