After reading all the comments I finally checked out the song and….
I think this shit is dope. And it’s gonna sound even better along with the rest of the album. The one thing I always like about Jay’s music is that it sounds so good together. Most of his LPs are meant to be listened like that. You start seperating the tracks and the “fans” get a little confused. But I’m almost certain this track will sound bananas after “A Star Is Born” w/ J. Cole and before “Already Home” w/ Cudi.
And since these are leaks they def aren’t even mastered yet. So they’ll all musically sound 100Xs better on the official release.

Out of the five tracks out so far, I think Reminder is the weakest so far, and that track is still pretty decent. Anybody who thinks this track is weak, I cannot even discuss music with you. Read the lyrics posted above, no way to dispute the metaphors he is dropping on this song. And I hear a lot of people being critical of ‘Off That’. I’m telling you, give that a few listens on a real system and that joint absolutely bumps!
What kills me is that most of the leaks off of BP3 have good lyrics, but Jay (even for his age) has like NO energy (same with the beats). If he put more into his delivery (at least at the level of 2003 Jigga), the beats were better, and te subject matter/feel was more diverse, I think BP3 would be pretty good, but since that isnt the case, I don’t think the new album is gonna cut it.

If he put more into his delivery (at least at the level of 2003 Jigga), the beats were better, and te subject matter/feel was more diverse, I think BP3 would be pretty good, but since that isnt the case, I don’t think the new album is gonna cut it.

im a HUGE Jay Fan and have been supportive of EVERY album thus far. the dude still has it as was obviously displayed on American Gangster, but so far the leaks for this album are trash.
i thought DOA was a nice single, nothing special lyrically but a nice setup for the album, and run this town has great production. but damn these tracks have been a huge dissapointment :-/
he can still make this a good album depending on which way the other tracks go but there better be some incredible shit on there to make up for this trash
