I'm saying we share a connection as black people and we get each other's struggle. No matter what it may be. Whether you're Barack Obama or Jay-Z. Whether you grew up filthy rich or dirt poor. Whether you went to college or dropped out in the 10th grade. Whether you're a lawyer or a drug dealer. As black people there's a connection that we share that surpasses all of that. Cuz ultimately we STILL deal with the same issues on a larger scale. I'm sure there's some shit that you hearin rap music that you just don't get. It's not cuz you didn't grow up the way said rapper did. It's simply cuz you're not black. Doesn't mean you can't listen to rap or that you can't relate to it. Just saying there's something underneathe that you will always miss. The same way there's something I'll never be able to understand in white america or amongst Hispanics or Asians.
