  1. 1st, dope vid

  2. you really think they gonna put any money in Ghostface album if he fills it with Rhianna and T-Pain maybe but somehow I dobut thats gonna happen

  3. mehhh, could of been better.

  4. Video is cool but I never liked the fact Fab just jacked Jay for the song. I hope money gets pumped into (pause) Ghostface to. And for Shake I never saw your official thoughts on the Fab album.

  5. I never liked the fact he jacked Jay either but I doubt they pump money into Ghostface cause they aint even do that wit Red & Meth really

  6. def jam waste so much money.. Fabs album was a flop.. Last gd song he had was “breathe” everything else been poo

  7. I remember this being Jay’s song too, should have at least spit one a the old verses… Ghost IS droppin an R&B joint so you neva know what def jam might do….

  8. they shud make a video for the throw it in the bag rmx

  9. I’m skipping the Ghostface Sings! album. I don’t care if it’s publicized. He’s free to do whatever music he wants, but I ain’t buying that shit.

  10. @ TC x WUTANGFAN — Trust, he didn’t jack Jay for ANYTHING. This was an AG leftover, not to mention something that got leaked. Fab probably liked it a lot, and Jay passed it over to show support for his project, similar to how he did on Vol.3 with “Is That Your B@#tch” for Bleek. No1 takes stuff from him that he doesn’t allow them to, believe that.

As for the vid? Fantastic, two thumbs up, I miss stuff like this.

  11. godamnnnnn jay z says “you know” helllla times in the beginning!

  12. am I the only one who thinks this song is reminiscent to rap songs of the late 90′s? IE: Horse and Carriage, Mase, Big Pun, Raekwon, Lox..THIS IS SO late 90′s!!!

  13. Yep, it has a 90′s feel for sure.

  14. Wait wait, there is about to be an album where Ghostface is singing?

I thought it was just an R&B style album with like love and relationship topics when GF was RAPPING, and then collaborating with a bunch of R&B artists on the hooks and what not.

Is this not true or is it something else?

  15. Ghostface… lol — the male version of missy. Coolout with the outfits he’s rocking.

  16. Good visual. Thanks for the post. PEace

  17. How come these older rappers don’t get it?? Def Jam supports no HIP-HOP other than Fabolous…And EVEN if Fab flops (He is guaranteed the Gold tho) Fab gets most of HIS money from all those R&B tracks he works on…..

  18. “they shud make a video for the throw it in the bag rmx.”

    ^^^^ co-sign

  19. great job fab. very classy

  20. Def a 90′s era joint and no question that was the Golden Era of hip-hop. Let’s be honest…it’s almost refreshing compared to a lot of BS that’s out right now and I ain’t really a Fab fan. Vid was so tight didn’t even realize it was in B/W at first.

  21. this was craaazy, hovs original AG leftover had crazier lyrics, but this song was still mad, and the video… the best ive seen in years, especially hovas wise words in the beginning lol

  22. “Video is cool but I never liked the fact Fab just jacked Jay for the song.”

He didn’t jack it Jay he gave him the song b/c he wasn’t gonna use it & said it sounded like a Fab song.

“How come these older rappers don’t get it?? Def Jam supports no HIP-HOP other than Fabolous”

    Kanye West
    Jay-Z (B4 he left)
    Young Jeezy
    Rick Ross

Def Jam supports a couple more artists than just Fab.

  23. ^^^ Damn that is true……..But uhh….
Jeezy…..Not that well wit the recession
Ross………Well that guy shot himself in the foot with his buffoonery…

  24. if any one wants 2 put this video on there ipod/iphone
http://rapidshare.com/files/268784719/When_the_Money_Goes_rmx_feat._Jay-Z.m4v …im not impressed tho preffered jay-z’s verses

  25. It sucks to see how much people who comment show how much they DON’T KNOW. Just shut up.

Why would Def Jam pump all that money into Ghost Face when he won’t sell?? I LOVE Ghost Face but his music is not consistant and there IS no way even when he was hot he would go past platinum.

What do cats call a flop these days?? Do you guys even realize that the artist that you consider to be “selling” are barely going plaitnum or double platinum in the course of maybe a year and a half to 2 years on that 1 album.

T.I.’s album just recently sold 2M he released it last yr September. Almost a year. The days of 5mill or 10 mill going diamond in the early 2000′s was because Hip-Hop was more excepted in the pop world. If you look in the 90′s there were only a select few who were platinum selling artists. LL Cool J was considered a sellout because he was consistanly the only artists who could go platinum or gold appealing to the pop culture all the way from the 80′s to the 90′s and 2000

Look at Eminem numbers he’s doing good because of his name but look at his history when he releases an album; the numbers are higher and his buzz is through the roof. Look at how slow records have been selling from the BIG DOG artist and see how slow the sales are in comparison to the 1st half of this decade. Look at Luda’s last album, look at 50 look Jay-Z, again look at Em, even though Lil’ Wayne did good on Carter 3 one would think he’s at 5 mill but it’s respectfully at 3 mill. It was released in March last year. Look at the Texas movement like Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Chamillionaire etc. The Game, Nas, even Kanye a bit. People aren’t buying albums like they did in the early 2000′s. There are other people who are taking long to come out because they see how hard it is now.

So basically by the standards y’all are talking about then everyone is flopping!

So basically you are telling me if Def Jam puts money into a Ghost Face project vs. a Fabolous project Ghost Face’s album will more excepted, sell more and capture the fans??

Listen I love Ghost Face and I know the truth to the question is NO.

You wouldn’t put your word or money on it.

    Ps.

Fabolous didn’t jack Jay-Z’s song. Jay-Z actually contacted Fab and gave him the song for him to rearrange it for his album.
