That lame comment that the dude above made about not listening to anything but old Rakim from like 1987 and not embracing new hip hop is the reason hip hop, just like Disco did…shall die.
HIP HOP PURISM COULD KILL HIP HOP FOR GOOD:

Young Son (The Hip Hop Dreamer) said this on August 15th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
^hip hop purists are pretty much the hip hop equivalent of religious fundamentalists and they aren’t helping hip hop and hip hop as an art form rightfully needs to evolve, but at the same time people need to realize that just because there’s a a lot of new artists out, the majority of them aren’t doing anything new/innovative/creative. In most cases it’s just a new voice/flow on a slightly different beat, saying the same thing that’s been said 1,0000 times. I say, don’t support new artists just because they’re new or because a bunch of people like them, support new artists that are doing something to move hip hop forward.

That’s wassup, good to see unity in hiphop. Glad 50 aint hating on SB like everybody else. They coming together to get money, that’s wassup. I just hope they dont collab, that’s taking it toooo far, lol
Tha Advakit said this on August 15th, 2009 at 11:49 pm
all the hate, he just stopped by for a few songs-whats the problem? i would be happy if i was at some concert and then 50 cent just stopped by and did a few songs unexpectedly. of course, i would never ever go to see soulja boy if it was just him, but whatever

I think a Wayne and Curtis collab could be dope

I SUPPORT ALL ARTIST I LIKE PERIOD
CANIN said this on August 16th, 2009 at 7:55 am
I support Blacks not acting like crabs in a barrel. That really needs to stop. We’re our own worst enemy in the game. When every realizes that Hip-Hop needs a genre system just like any other form of entertainment that’s grown too big for one name/label then folks will be fine. Rock has Classic, Emo, Punk, Hard Core, etc. We have different types too so what’s the problem people?
Marqui H. said this on August 16th, 2009 at 8:15 am
But real rock doesnt ride with emo or punk they think its a joke.
Dont try to act like hip hop is the only genre where we dont like certain artist.
Where does it say that we have to like and support bullshit music?
I respect Soulja Boy for what he is and what he has accomplished but I wont buy any of his “music” or support his kind of “music”.
I dont like it not because its Soulja Boy.
But because after I listen to it and give it a fair chance I dont like the song.
Folks have different taste in music. People need to understand that not everyone is the same.
Chigo said this on August 16th, 2009 at 9:25 am
^^^you said real rock…white people dont say real rock…they dont have fake rock…there is alotta different rock…and they pick the type they like and listen…hip hop is the only place where half the listeners are brain dead to stuff thats out here on these blogs…and the other half that knows about blogs act like they are royalty cuz they listen to the freshman…fuck all that…you cant tell people what to like…some people like bullshit…just like some people like good shit…some people like ugly ass clothes too…you not gon say clothes dead cuz half the people wearin bullshit…you gon keep wearin shit you like
im inside YO girl said this on August 16th, 2009 at 11:56 am
they do call shit fake rock homie lol but anyway 50 and sb been cool they labelmates and shit
First&Last said this on August 16th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Don’t you grumpy old fucks remember what your parents sounded like when your new shit came out? C’mon you sound like old ass haters talking about how kids can’t produce real music anymore. Cut that shit out. The whole point in a genre system is to let people know what type they’re listening to. Just listen to what you like& shut the hell up about the rest.
Marqui H. said this on August 17th, 2009 at 6:25 am
ALSO, if you don’t like something just don’t like it. It seems pretty looser-ish to me to run to check it on a blog & kick dirt. When I don’t like a TV show or something on the radio I turn the station. It’s pretty pathetic to watch it just to hate don’t you think.
Marqui H. said this on August 17th, 2009 at 6:28 am
i dont see how a somewhat respected artist would ever want to perform with a rapper like soulja boy, i mean its obviously the money but its bullshit
