Everyone growing up in the skate world knows how important Red Dragon is. They definitely have some of the best threads and skate gear out there and we’ve known Colin McKay and Sluggo for years. Swollen Members has been repping Red Dragon since the beginning and when it came time to release our first cut from Armed to the Teeth, we wanted Red Dragon to be the first thing people heard. We also wanted the first thing people hear from this new album to be some classic Swollen Members and to have our old friend and SM-alumni Moka Only on the track. This isnt a new track tho. I mean im a Swollen supporter (pause!) from the ‘Balance’ LP days. Plus in from the Vancouver Island/Van City area. However, this track is hella old…Probably at least 4 years old. I don’t get how they are going to put out a track from 4-5 years ago as a new release for an upcoming album. WTF?

This isn’t an old track, they re-did it. Original Red Dragon did not have Mad Child or Prevail on it; just Moka Only. I think I like this better than the original actually.
Ya ok ’5 ft.’, your right. The orig. did just have Moka on it. However, 4 people who are looking 4ward to a new release from Swollen Members, this just didnt satisfy me I guess. Maybe im too used to the beat. I still support S&M, just wish this wasn’t what they decided to put out as the 1st cut from the upcoming project.

Damn, I used to love their shit but I wasn’t really feeling Black Magic. Balance, Bad Dreams and Monsters were my shit in HS. Skeptical about this album, were is Mad Child’s solo album? That one solo track he dropped a long time ago was dope.

“Heavy” was a disaster, but all their other albums have been solid. “Black Magic” was a return to form. “Balance” was a hip-hop classic imho.
Odd that they re-did an old track. The album should be dope. Nice guest list.
