Drake x Trey Songz – Successful BTS (Video)

The brethren X provided these visuals of the making of Drake’s next single. Think about this: the album from which this song came off of is a: a mixtape and b: free. Like him or not, labels gotta respect and recognize.

  1. Drake is a tool + homo

  2. This is song of the year in my opinion.

Let’s remember, I said “my opinion” b4 y’all start to spazz.

I just remember driving from the studio at like 3AM in the mornings for a few weeks straight after long sessions listening to this joint on repeat. It was mad inspiring.

I hope the video turns out dope and that people show it love. I have no doubt that it will be better than “Best I Ever Had”.

  3. drake gonna prove these haters wrong

  4. I don’t understand most of the recent hate. Everyone was on on his strap when he wasn’t signed to a major and wasn’t on the radio. The minute his LEGALLY FREE MATERIAL is getting spins people hate the kid.

Granted it’s like 50 said about how there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to getting your music played.

  5. i would of respected him a lot more if he didnt sign with Young Money…

  6. Would you turn down a 4-Million Dollar deal and a distribution deal that still stands regardless if he’s with Young Money or not?

Wayne put him on. If it’s all respect, you should understand why Drake did that. I just wish back when he was on a Jay-Z vibe in like 2007 & trying to get with Roc-A-Fella that Jay would have noticed back then. He might have never had to be influenced by Wayne. But hey, everybody is still their own person at the end of day.

  7. FROM THE WORDS OF THE GREAT PHONTE…..

And I, sold my heart to the world, nobody bought it
    And, everybody made a B-line
Quick to say that LB was on the decline, hold up – rewind
Wasn’t it just a year or so ago
when we was them same niggas that everybody was behind?
But that’s how it is when you dealing with the evil
Get a little status and they think you too regal
    That’s the nature of people
Why you think muh’fuckers like to feed pigeons but try to shoot eagles?

DAMN IT FITS MOST OF U NIGGAZ PERFECTLY…..

  8. it really is crazy that drakes first 2 mainstream singles are off of a mixtape. It may or may not be the best mixtape ever but it def is the most popular. still cant understand why anyone could hate on an artist just because he is getting recognition. good job drake keep it up. (pause)

  9. Well quouted Gambit354.

I agree. That whole concept of mainstream recognition = Decline in support of original fans is beyond me. So ignorant.

  10. Ya’ll are preaching damn, Drake is gonna be poppin for his whole career long as he doesn’t end up in a wheel chair. This is a great single for him to use, much better than his last one.

  11. this was the first and only drake song that resonated (i.e.- I really felt) with me….keep the success young A. I just wanna be, I just wanna be……..

  12. this is gun be on treys upcoming album ‘ready’. i think he deserves alot of credit for this track as he came up wit the whole concept of the song originally after bein inspired by the sort of darker atmosphere it creates thru the beat!
stop hatin an just admire a great song and talent in trey an drake!

  13. Drake is boring as fuckkkk. we need energy lets go hiphop eminem ge tthe fuck back here!

  14. Em is already back guy. LOL. His album is like the top selling hip hop album this year so far….lol

A Drake x Em collab would be DOPE!

This introspective type song “Successful” is a lot like something Eminem would have did. He just would have been a little more amped and straightforward. At the end of the day, it’s all personal lyricism…and that’s one of my favorite types of hip hop music.

*finishes listening to Successful and then turn on Eminem’s “Beautiful”

  15. Eminem is worthless.

  16. @ Young Son

“Would you turn down a 4-Million Dollar deal”

yeaa i would lol… but i get why he didnt.. i like Drake.. just hate his huge buzz & who he’s affiliate with.

  17. ^^^^^^^^^^^

how much sense does that make? Buzz = popularity…you hate popularity?

  18. Drake’s buzz = overrated.. id rather listen to J. Cole
but thats just my opinion… im not telling you to agree with me.. eg. “Eminem is worthless” thats just you… i aint say that dont make sense just cos i dont agree with it.. smh

  19. ^^^^^^
So i guess when J.Cole gets some buzz around him..he’s goin 2 be wack 2 (smh)…with or without buzz Drake is still the same rapper..he juss 4 million dollars richer

  20. Exactly, why is money so glamorized to the point that we miss the important stuff or people???

  21. its not about money.. its about being overrated & IMO thats what Drake is…… & i didnt write anything about Drake being wack lol.. dont get it do yah..?

  22. Off topic: I thought drake turned down the 4 million dollar deal.. I can link a recent interview for the debators..

  23. what makes an artist overrated? and what makes an artist “just right”? what does someone have to be? because all i ever hear is he’s overrated and he’s underrated.

  24. I don’t get yall niggas with this “I like him but he’s overrated” shit. Either you like him or you don’t and if you do you should be happy for his success. I bet when this nigga was still nobody it was “yo this nigga needs to blow up asap”…
