I wonder, do these artists get tired of having to perform the same song day in and day out? I always wanted to know if there was one time an artist was like “Fuck this shit” and started performing wild random shit like Jimmy Buffet or something. Props to iLL Vibes.
how about the roots?! the last 3 times i saw them they played or let me say “i recognized” about 5 to 7 tracks and jammed the hell out of every song and stretched them to 10-15 min. of music each that had nothing to do with the original song at all!

Well The Roots are just legendary, not surprised Cudi is riding the day&night gravy train for as long as he can. Kind of like what Drake is doing with that song her has, can’t remember the name right now. Cudi’s cool though.

They only mind if they’re not getting paid for it. De La used to perform “Me Myself & I” by telling everybody how much they hated the song, but they still went on and performed it. Considering the deal that Day N Nite got Cudi and the amount of checks that he’s cashed/cashing from that record, I doubt he minds it one bit…

I’ve wondered the same thing before and now that I’m actually doing it I have a better introspective of it.I get bored easily, obviously being an artist but there’s a difference when ur doing a song and the crowd is feeding off of it. Sure you’d rather be doing some new shit but when that song that people know every word to comes on and the crowds goes nuts, it’s a good feeling. a feeling good enough to make you forget it this is the umpteenth thousandth time you’ve performed it.
