  1. Not for nothing but Ricky Ross has been making major strides in his hip hop. His lyrics are crisper, beat selection is fyre…..He is in the 10 10 MCs ever list. I think he has potential to be mentioned in the same breath as biggy ans 2pac if he continues and builds on his natural prgression. Right now, I say lyrically he blows away anyone in slaughterhouse. Dirty south rap is going through a revolion

  2. Triple C’s: Cheese, Cake, and Cheesecake…BAWSE!!

  3. and i just read what the guy above me wrote…smfh

  4. holy shit killa b has to be joking.

  5. slaughterhouse had me gassed…i thought it was going to be the best album ever…….I heard it and i think it is garbage. its my opinion. I am allowed to voice my opinion on this comment section. That is what it is here for.

  6. and im allowed to shake my fucking head at you

  7. I mean Ross IS bringing that heat…. lyrics better than ever and instrumentals INSANE… but NEVER mention him in the same group as Pac or Biggie! it’s maaad blasphemy to say that…

  8. oh thats just it huh? So you are saying no one can ever be as good as biggie or 2pac because they are dead? Just rethink what youa are saying. it makes zero cents.

  9. @ Killa B Ching

Im not a Ross fan but is true what you say about his beat selection and lyrics getting better but Top 10? Yeah his on the Top 10 Mcs from Miami!

  10. rick ross , jada kiss, fat joe, >> OUT

  11. ever since husltin came out his time has been numbered he jus neeed to be a producer like dre cuz he can still produce beats..

  12. what the fuck is 111 talkin’ ’bout?
What the fuck has Ross produced?
Selecting beats and PRODUCING beats are two different things

But I have to agree with Ross being able to crack a top ten list of rappers doin it right now…
To even compare Slaughterhouse album to ross’ is ridiculous.
    Slaughterhouse shit is garbage.
you can’t continue to be ignorant on what makes a hot RECORD (not lyrics), and expect fans to just cop your joint.
Most of these new hot artist can’t make a dope record.
    Lyrics are for ciphers….hot lyrics,hot beat,hot hook = HOT RECORD….PERIOD

U want hot beats….check out my link

  13. The Invisibles is 100% accurate. Good to see someone else has a full understanding of music and hip hop around here.

  15. killa, i never mentioned anything about “death”. obviously everyone has different tastes in music and i do agree with you on Ross coming out strong this year, but everyone knows DAMN well that Biggie was rediculously ill. dude’s been a legend since he came out his mother’s womb. it’s completely great if you have faith in Ross being in the all-time greatest group of MC’s one day, but i mean… come on!!! top ten in my opinion and in no order:

    KRS-One
    Big Daddy Kane
    Biggie
    Pac
    Jigga
    Ice Cube
    Eminem
    Rakim
    Nas
    Kool G. Rap

Ross just doesn’t go in this group, i’m sorry. the only MC’s that COULD would be Scarface or 3000.

  16. UFCK the bullish! CUBAN LINX 2 September 8th.

Lace ya TIMBO’s up and roll dem tree’s

  17. where talkin top ten whose STILL DOIN IT…
    Pac is dead
    Biggie…dead
Kool G Rap…not doin it now.hasn’t had a hot record in ages.
Big Daddy Kane…does this dude even record on a regular?
Ice Cube…really? Top ten? In this day and age…? Stop!
    I’ll give u Jigga ,Em,Rakim,Nas and Krs-One….maybe Krs…maybe
    So u have 4 …maybe 5
    Scareface…retired..but yer
Andre…no…when was HIS last hot record??not a hot 16…a hot record
    Raekwon..yes
Lupe…no.This nigga startin to ride his own dickand believe his own hype.Put out a street banger and stop tryin to show whitey your “deep”

Maybe they need to be on my beats…lol

  18. dcruz.88,

Ok I see your point. I am gassin Ross. However, i should rephrase my statement to “ross has come a long way”. When he first came out I considered him another ordinary generic wanna be gangsta rapper who would go nowhere. However, he hung in there, got exposed and has elevated his game.

As far as greatest rappers I would say it is difficult to rate in lists. There are too many variables to consider (ex. album sales, flow, delivery, utilization of various styles). You also have to take out the music production variable in which MCs rap over. The music can clearly make anyone sound great. I would believe that you have career length has to play a role in a top 10 list. I don’t think it is fair to compare someone in the game with 10 albums against a rookie or someone out of the game after dropping 1 or 2 albums.

If I had to list what I deem as the best MCs in the game, I would have to say (in no particular order):

    Rakim – Obvious
    Big Daddy Kane – Obvious
Rza – Wu albums, Bobby Digital Albums, Soundtracks
    Raekwon – Wu Albums, OB4CL
Ghostface – Wu albums, Fiscale, Ironman, Supreme Clientele
Ill Bill – Non Phixion, solo career, La Coka Nostra
Vinnie Paz – Jedi Mind Tricks Albums
Sean Price – solo, bootcamp, heltah Skeltah
    Gza – Entire Catalog
The DOC – His solos + the fact that he ghostwrote for dres entire career
Killah Priest – Sunz of Man, Macabeez, Wu, Solo career, joint album with Chief Kamachi
Rise formerly of the demigodz is up there. He has been around a while, but does not have enough “albums”.
Wordsworth – another very highly talented MC
Cam’ron could be up there…however he has become soft.
Kool Keith – Ultramagnetic Albums, Solo Career, Cenobites
Redman – Solo Career, Red N Mef, Def Squad
    Eminem – Solo Career,
    too short – Solo Career,
    2pac – Solo Career
canibus – Cant put together a classic album, but he is a true MC
    slick rick
Big L would have definitely been in my top 5, but his career was cut short.
Planet Asia should get a mention For all of his work.
    AZ – Solid catalog
Cormega – The realness in addition to the rest of his solo albums.
Again this is just my opinion.

  19. why are people here so crazy?

  20. Too many followers Rick Ross is nice. I feel sorry for you simple minded!
