The Niceguys – Move A Mountain

niceguystop

I’m really digging this group’s overall sound, so I’m a little gassed for when The Pre Show drops next Tuesday, July 29th. CHeck under the cut for the full tape’s artwork and tracklist. Props to e-dub for the heads up as well.

  5. feelin it.

  6. What part of this group’s overall sound were you digging? The sped-up soul sample we’ve all heard the last 15 years?

  7. listen to the other songs and you’ll get it douche….notice he said “overall sound” meaning more than just THIS song. lol

  8. isn’t next tuesday the 28th? not 29th? broken headphones anyone? song is nice btw. digging this group.

  9. niceguys is funny name…..corny but cool lol. anyway this track is hot……whoevers rapping is killing it

  10. i like there song hello there… dig it!

  11. Track ain’t too sped up. It was cut up nicely. It flows well. I like these guys, thanks for the exposure to an artist I ain’t know shit about 10 seconds ago. That’s what these blogs is all about.

  12. i really like this group..finally something new comming out of texas never thought i would see the day, does anyone think these guys match up to pac div or uni?

  13. this track sounds like every other indie artist out right now rapping over a soul sample beat that we’ve all heard before… nothing special

  14. you sound like every other hater…..lolol

  15. The NiceGuys are certainly cooking up some gourmet music that Im sure you will all enjoy. Stay Tuned, I speak the truth

  16. I’m glad to hear some more progressive sound out of my home state- I am pleasantly fucking surprised!

  17. ^^^^
name one track similar to this by an indie artist???

  18. ur gassed for 2 snippets? checked all 3 tracks definitely nothing special

  19. lol….i dont think your ears are working properly son…..this shit is actually pretty good.

  20. feeling.

  21. i seriously dont hear the hype

  22. This is only the beginning for The NiceGuys…they have alot of big stuff to come

  23. Artwork is tooooooo trill. Über trill.

Slept on the other 2 posts but I’m catching up.

Their flow is real different, so it was kind of hard for me to catch at the beginning, the beat is ridiculous, on my speakers they get kind of drowned a bit. Second listen I like it, caught more of the lines, 3rd verse my favorite.

Final verdict I like their overall sound/style. They close to that Das FX flow lol, dash of The Cool Kids on the “Life In Style” track. I can’t tell their from Houston at all. Their production is EXTRA strong. Lyrically I’m not 100% sold on em, but they get a pass.

Excited to hear more from them, they gave 3 different looks.

“name one track similar to this by an indie artist???”

@murphy lol are you serious? this exact track is on every “real” “indie” hiphop album/mixtape i dont even have to name a song you know what i mean. the played out soul sample and no unique flow or voice im just sayin there is nothing that separates them from everything else in the genre… no shots

  25. gotta love the love, but i wont call the non-love hate. just lack of awareness. just as a good politician has to win over his constituents. Its a process. Its politcs.
