One episode Matt and I forgot the big fat guy that’s the boss and I think Froy was there too and they were to pick this Honda up from this house and the white girl and black dude took them to the back and next thing you see is Matt, fat guy, and Froy (if he was there too) running from the back hoping in the truck taking off and the people (white girl, black dude, and a bunch more people) who stayed at the house brought out pistols and AKs. Shit was crazy. Repo ain’t fake and it’s on TruTV so if you think it’s fake then your retarded.

I wondered about this show after hearing it was fake. I had to see evidence for myself. I looked for the disclaimer during opening credits as others have mentioned, but tru tv doesn’t show it. Then I saw the episode where the midget goes on a ride along. Clearly fake when he got out of the truck, and the person attempting to stop the repo falls to the ground and lets the midget jump on top of him. It was a small mistake by the actor but clearly an act, anyone who has seen this episode knows what im talking about. Also everytime they go to repo a car it happens to be backed in the driveway for easy access or parked along the curb with no obsturction. FAKE. Most people who are behind on payments know it, and would not park their car in such a manner that it could be easily repo’d. If you watch you’ll notice all the cars are ready for pick up when they arrive at the residence. The show is obviously fake
But I still watch it becasue anytime you put trash on TV like operation repo its entertaining…simply due to the fact that its not reality!

The show is good. I think it is fake though. My uncle was a repo man, and he always worked nights. It easier to find the cars at nights when everyone has their guard down. The show never talks about how they have been looking for this car for weeks, or had to do a few stake outs, it is always there waiting for them. Why haven’t we seen any of these people/actors in an interview either? Even Dog does interviews. I think these are real stories re-enacted by a great team of actors.
I am 100% sure that this is fake as I was in the Gold Malibu Repo segment. I was paid $100, but lost my jacket that cost $150 to replace, so I actually came out behind. Anyways, nice crew to work with, but was fully scripted and had several takes for each 10 seconds of “REALTV” actuality. It is quite sad that despite being told its fake, there are people that still believe so strongly that it’s real, that they defend it tooth and nail. Stupid, stupid people out there – no doubt. Hopefully they won’t reproduce.
They should rename the show and call it “Operation Lipo.”
